While there is no confirmation on what it could be, Rhodes could inherit the 'Never Give Up' catchphrase from Cena following the 17-time world champion's retirement.

He could pay tribute to Cena with a heartfelt speech on the upcoming episode of SmackDown and could promise to carry his legacy forward. However, this angle is mere speculation, and it remains to be seen how things work out for Cody Rhodes after his home invasion angle with Drew McIntyre.

In a recent appearance on Games With Names, former World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins shed light on Cody Rhodes' return to WWE. The American Nightmare made his comeback at WrestleMania 38 as Rollins' surprise opponent.

"I would say WrestleMania is in April, and so we had like maybe a month of lead time knowing Cody was for sure coming. And even till like the two weeks before, I remember being like, 'Do we have his signature on a piece of paper? [Do] we know this is what we're going to do?' And it was very top secret. There were very few people that knew about what was going on," Rollins said.

Rollins and Rhodes would go on to have an incredible feud, helping the latter regain momentum upon his return. The former Shield member is currently away from programming and is recovering from a shoulder injury he suffered during his match with Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel.
