Unrivaled, a 3-on-3 basketball tournament co-founded by Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart, released its lineups for Season 2 on Wednesday. Paige Bueckers, Kiki Iriafen and Kelsey Plum will debut while Lexie Hull returns to Rose BC, the inaugural winner. Two teams, Breeze and Hive, join the other contenders looking to dethrone the Chelsea Gray-led defending champs.The league failed to secure the commitments of Sabrina Ionescu and Angel Reese, two stars from Season 1. Caitlin Clark and A’ja Wilson continue to stay out of the league. Still, there is much hype and excitement for the next edition of the hottest 3-on-3 basketball tournament. However, the team retained key contributors Lexie Hull, Kahleah Copper, Azura Stevens and 2025 Unrivaled Finals MVP Chelsea Gray. Sug Sutton and Shakira Austin round off the roster.Vinyl BCThe finalists also get a remake for Unrivaled Season 2. Arike Ogunbowale, Jordin Canada and Aliyah Boston will play for the opposition. Vinyl kept Rhyne Howard, Dearica Hamby and Rae Burrell. Reinforcing the team this season are Brittney Griner, Erica Wheeler and Courtney Williams.Vinyl’s guard rotation of Wheeler, Williams, Burrell and Howard makes it a dangerous team to play against.Phantom BCPhantom BC has a nice blend of veteran and young talents. Losing Sabrina Ionescu could be a season-changer, but Satou Sabally and Natasha Cloud remain.Phantom added Boston, who had a stellar season for the Indiana Fever and Kiki Iriafen, who made the All-Star team as a rookie. Kelsey Plum, who was initially set to debut last season, will finally make his Unrivaled appearance in Season 2. Dana Evans completes the Phantom roster.Laces BCLaces BC got off to a hot start despite Jackie Young barely playing. A healthy Young is expected to do more in Season 2 of the competition. Alyssa Thomas is the only other holdover from last year’s team.Brittney Sykes, Jordin Canada, Maddy Siegrist and Naz Hillmon will reinforce the new-look team.Mist BCCo-founder Breanna Stewart remains the backbone of Mist BC. She is the only returning member from the team that struggled last season. Arike Ogunbowale, Li Yueru, Veronica Burton and All-Star Allisha Gray give Stewart an excellent roster. Alanna Smith, the Co-Defensive Player of the Year winner with A’ja Wilson, also bolsters the lineup.The Smith-Stewart pairing is arguably the best defensive frontcourt in the Unrivaled Season 2.Lunar Owls BCThe Lunar Owls dominated Unrivaled Season 1 with a 13-1 record. Behind co-founder Napheesa Collier, they ran roughshod against their opponents until an upset shocker to Vinyl BC in the semis.Collier, the inaugural MVP, returns with Skylar Diggins. New Owls members include Marina Mabrey, Rachel Banham, Rebecca Allen and Aaliyah Edwards.Hive BCHive BC is the first of two additional teams in Unrivaled Season 2. Bannered by WNBA rookies Sonia Citron and Saniya Rivers, the team is looking to pull off some surprises. Natisha Hiedeman, Ezi Magbegor and Mo Billings provide veteran help. WNBA MVP contender Kelsey Mitchell is the team’s deadliest and most proven threat.Breeze BCBreeze BC is the youngest team in Season 2. WNBA rookies Paige Bueckers and Dominique Malonga headline the team. LA Sparks duo Rickea Jackson and Cameron Brink bring instant chemistry to Breeze.Kate Martin and Aari McDonald offer playmaking and shooting.
