This past season for the Indiana Fever, Sophie Cunningham joined a solid core that was bannered by the likes of Caitlin Clark and Lexie Hull. At the time, the Fever superstar expressed her excitement to compete alongside two top-notch golfers."I had an amazing time at The Annika last November and participating in the Pro-Am alongside Nelly Korda and Annika Sorenstam, two of the best in the game," Clark said in an interview for The Athletic. "I can’t wait to return to Tampa in November to play in the Pro-Am with the best women golfers in the world."The Fever's official Instagram account made a post about Clark's participation in the event. It did not take long for her teammates to join in, with Cunningham egging on Hull to take part as a caddie and Hull urging Clark to "sign us up."With no WNBA action happening anytime soon, the LPGA event will be a good outlet for Clark's competitive fire. Leading up to the 2025 WNBA season, Clark was also highly engaged in golfing endeavors.Fever guard receives distinction as one of WNBA Women of the Year by Glamour magazineWhile Clark will be in the spotlight on Nov. 12, one of her celebrity caddies recently received a distinction from a prominent magazine.Last week, the Fever announced that Hull was named one of Glamour magazine's WNBA Women of the Year.Hull made the list along with Napheesa Collier, Satou Sabally, Nyara Sabally, and Jonquel Jones. In a piece honoring the WNBA Women of the Year, Glamour offered a platform for the women to express their thoughts on the league.The Fever guard took the opportunity to make the following suggestions to improve officiating in the WNBA: "a new batch of refs, intensive preseason training, and leaguewide accountability protocols."
