Sophie Cunningham Tabs Travis Kelce's Chiefs as Early Frontrunners for Super Bowl, Snubs Indianapolis Colts

Indina Fever star Sophie Cunningham shared her prediction on who might win the Super Bowl for the 2025 NFL season. Cunningham picked the Kansas City Chiefs, led by Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce.

On Thursday's edition of her "Show Me Something" podcast, Cunningham and co-host West Wilson answered a fan question on who might win the Super Bowl this year.

"Chiefs," Cunningham said (Timestamp: 8:59).

Wilson said that Kansas City has been dominant when it matters the most, reaching the Super Bowl five times in the last six seasons. After winning back-to-back titles in 2022 and 2023, the Chiefs lost Super Bowl LIX to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Wilson also mentioned the Indianapolis Colts, which currently leads the AFC South with an 8-2 record. Coming from the same city, the Colts and the Fever have exchanged pleasantries and support for each other.

After the Fever's first-round series win over the Atlanta Dream in the 2025 WNBA playoffs, Colts coach Shane Steichen wore a Fever shirt in a media availability. Steichen then praised the team for their resilience and wished them luck.

Sophie Cunningham's teammates, Caitlin Clark, Aari McDonald and Makayla Timpson, repaid the support by appearing in a Colts game on Oct. 5 in Indianapolis. Clark and Co. were given customized Colts jerseys.

Sophie Cunningham predicts OKC Thunder to repeat as NBA champs

In the same podcast episode on Thursday, Sophie Cunningham and co-host West Wilson answered a fan's question on who they think would win the NBA championship. While Cunningham said that the 2025-26 season is still young, she believes the OKC Thunder could repeat as champions.

"It's too early, I feel like," Cunningham said (Timestamp: 10:29). "But OKC still has a bunch of young boys who are hungry for a back-to-back. If I had to pick right now, I'd have to go Thunder. But I still think it's so early. I have no idea."

Cunnigham added that Tyrese Haliburton "meant that much" to the Indiana Pacers, which made the NBA Finals last season. Haliburton is expected to be out most of, if not all, of the year as he recovers from an ACL tear. Cunningham and the Indiana Fever supported their NBA counterparts as they battled in the playoffs.

OKC is off to a hot start this season, having an NBA-best 12-1 record. The Thunder are on a four-game winning streak. On the other hand, the Pacers (1-10) are tied for the second-worst record in the league and are on a five-game losing skid coming into Thursday.
