On Wednesday's episode of the "Show me Something" podcast, Cunningham recalled an incident from her visit to the golfing event that left her traumatized. She said that Lexie Hull took a swing before her, and she toppled the chance.

"I got to swing a golf club on the golf channel and I nailed an old man," she said. "I went and I was lke 'Alright, I haven't swung a golf club in 10 year, I just had knee surgery, like this is gonna go bad'. The last time I swung a club, I killed a f****** squirrel out on a tree... so, little PTSD there." (Timestamp: 29:10)

Later, she said that Clark and the crew asked her if she wanted to try out, and she agreed.

"II warned everyone," she continued. "Before I swung, I was like 'back up'... the ball went and nailed an old man."

Later in the segment, Sophie Cunningham said that she believed she had some potential in her golf game despite hitting a person in her first attempt in years.

Sophie Cunningham labels Caitlin Clark's golfing abilities 'really good'

Later in the episode, Sophie Cunningham's podcast co-host, West Wilson, asked if Caitlin Clark was any good at golf. The Fever star praised Indiana's superstar's skill at her offseason passion before diving into the details of Clark's performance.

"Yes, she's good," Cunningham said. "She's like really good. She can really hit it, but I think those green were really fast and everyone was struggling... but she's really good. Like my getaway is the pool and the beach, hers is golf." (Timestamp: 31:29)

Later, Cunningham said that she, Lexie Hull, and Caitlin Clark were going to play more golf during the offseason. She said that they had a lot of fun and that it was a completely different vibe than basketball.

Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham had tragic endings to their 2025 season as both were sidelined with season-ending injuries while their team clinched a playoff spot. Clark was sidelined with a groin injury while Cunningham tore her right MCL late into the season.

They were a constant presence on the bench during the Fever's playoff run, where they saw their team make it to the semi-finals without them, and lose to the eventual champions, the Las Vegas Aces.
