Clay Travis used Sophie Cunningham's confession to shame the WNBA for refusing his $1 million challenge, which he issued back in 2023. On Sunday, the Outkick founder retweeted a post sharing the Fever guard's recent comments on Michael Porter Jr.'s claim.

He expressed his opinion on Cunningham's response and flamed the WNBA in the post's caption.

"Of course it’s true. It’s why the WNBA hasn’t responded to my $1 million challenge. They don’t even have any risk. A gambling company fronted their million. So they only stand to get a million if they win," Travis wrote.

In 2023, Travis issued a challenge for the WNBA, specifically, the Las Vegas Aces, to face a high school boys basketball team. He bet $1 million on the boys' team and claimed that they would easily beat the WNBA elites.

On Friday's episode of the "Show Me Something" podcast, Sophie Cunningham reacted to Michael Porter Jr.'s controversial claim. On Wednesday, the Nets star had claimed that he went crazy and beat the Fever guard and his sisters, who played at the University of Missouri when he was in the eighth grade.

The Fever guard agreed with Porter's bold claim on her podcast.

"I mean, it’s probably true," Cunningham said. "I don’t want to be unrealistic or delusional. Like, men are just stronger, bigger, athletic. They just are a different build. So if you put them up against females, yeah, they’re gonna win. duh."

Later in the "Show Me Something" podcast, Sophie Cunningham's co-host, West Wilson, expanded on the topic and asked the Fever guard to name the WNBA players who believed that they could stand against Porter's claim.

The Fever guard asked her co-host to describe the scenario further. Wilson chose high school male basketball players for his scenario and used Cooper Flagg as an example. (Timestamp: 19:55)

"Dude, there's no way," Cunningham said. "There are some females who can outshoot, who can pass the s*** out of it, who are strong and can rebound. We all have the skill, but if you put their best high school against the best WNBA, I just don't... the male and the female are just so different. I just don't think that's a fair matchup.
