Caitlin Clark's brother Colin Clark blamed the referees for her sister's season-ending injury

Caitlin Clark did not see much playing time last season as she was in and out of games due to consistent injuries. At first, Clark suffered a quadriceps injury on May 24 in a 90-88 loss to the NY Liberty.

She missed five games because of the injury, but recovered from the setback and returned to the court in June. However, Clark played her last game of the season in a chippy 85-77 win over the Connecticut Sun on July 15. The Fever star was sidelined for the entire season after she suffered a groin injury in the game.

Clark's younger brother, Colin Clark, blamed the officials for the injury in a now-deleted X post.

"Make no mistake, this is on the reffing," he tweeted.

Initially, Clark was indefinitely sidelined. There was hope among the fans that she would return come playoff time. However, on Sept. 5, Clark announced that she would not be returning to play for the rest of the season in an emotional Instagram post.

The Indiana Fever managed to do great even without their star guard and their starting guards. The team went through an injury crisis and had to sign multiple guards through hardship contracts, as Caitlin Clark, Sophie Cunningham and Sydney Colson all went down with season-ending injuries.

However, they managed to excel in the playoffs with Kelsey Mitchell leading the way. The Fever reached the playoff semifinals, where the Las Vegas Aces knocked them out (3-2) and advanced to win the championship.
