The Bulldogs, who have Clark’s boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, on staff as an assistant coach and his brother Jack on the roster, secured a 79-72 victory.

During the CBS Sports broadcast, cameras caught Clark watching intently from the stands, and the commentary team even gave her a shoutout on air.

Jack finished with three points and one rebound, knocking down a 3-pointer off the bench in 11 minutes. Finley Bizjack led Butler with 18 points, while Michael Ajayi added 15, Jamie Kaiser Jr. contributed 14 and Jalen Jackson chipped in 10.

The Bulldogs overcame a 24-point performance from Meechie Johnson by dominating the glass with a 48-29 rebounding advantage.

Jack has averaged 5.0 points and 2.5 rebounds in 12.0 minutes through Butler’s first four outings. The Bulldogs improved to 4-1 with the win over the Gamecocks, bouncing back from their narrow 87-85 defeat to SMU on Sunday.

Butler will face Virginia next at 2 p.m. Sunday.

In September 2024, Connor McCaffery was elevated to assistant coach at Butler, filling the vacancy left by Greg Oden after he stepped away from coaching to focus on business ventures. With Christian’s role at Butler and Caitlin Clark's Fever based in Indiana, the couple remains geographically close.

What’s next for Caitlin Clark during the WNBA offseason?

Earlier this month, Caitlin Clark took part in the 2025 Annika Pro-Am golf tournament in Belleair, Florida. While at the event, she shared that she was finally feeling fully healthy after an injury-filled 2025 season.

“I’m feeling back to 100%,” Clark told the Golf Channel during the sporting event (per USA Today). “I have been trying to take advantage of the fall weather in Indianapolis before it gets too cold.”

Clark has said one of her offseason goals is to join Team USA, which is set to compete in a March qualifying tournament, according to The Athletic.

She will not compete in the second season of the Unrivaled league, scheduled to tip off in January, and with WNBA collective bargaining agreement talks still stalled, the status of the 2026 season remains uncertain.

Clark has also reportedly agreed to take part in a $10 million golf match with Kai Trump, per Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy.
