Caitlin Clark and her Indiana Fever teammates reacted to Nelly Korda's surprise announcement on Friday. The world No. 2 announced through her social media with a series of pictures announcing her engagement to her boyfriend, Casey Gunderson.

Korda, who has maintained a very personal life over the years, started the heartwarming post with a picture of the couple posing with a newspaper with the headline, "We're getting married!" The subsequent pictures in the post featured romantic candid pictures in the water with her fiancé.

"In this life… & the next 💍," Korda captioned the post.

The big news had the sports world erupting in joy, including the Indiana Fever superstar. Caitlin Clark reacted to the big news with a one-word comment.

"congrats!!!" she wrote, followed by a red heart emoji.

Clark's Fever teammate, Lexie Hull, also congratulated the couple.

"Congrats!!! 🥂to wedding planning!! 🫶🏻," Hull wrote.

One of the surprising names congratulating the couple was LeBron James. The LA Lakers star, who has recently taken up golf as his new hobby, posted a one-word comment.

Nelly Korda's sister, Jessica Korda, who is also a veteran LPGA player, commented on the big news.

"😍 YAAAASSSS😍," Jessica wrote.

Korda, like Clark, is a Nike athlete. She designed shoes for Nike Golf and was able to get a few delivered on Nov. 12, right before The ANNIKA. The American golfer gifted a pair of shoes to Clark before the game started. She also shared the hilarious exchange with the Indiana Fever star.

"(Caitlin) did ask me if they're going to make her golf better, and I was like, ‘Guaranteed.'"

Caitlin Clark has made an appearance at the event for two consecutive years. With her fame climbing new levels every year, it wouldn't be surprising if her presence becomes a custom every year.
