Caitlin Clark Expresses Love for Lexie Hull With Heartfelt Reaction to Adorable Photo

The Indiana Fever started their Thanksgiving preparations by dropping photos of their players, including Caitlin Clark and Lexie Hull, on Wednesday. Clark and Co. are featured in behind-the-scenes clips captioned “moments on film”.

A photo of the All-Star point guard and her sweet-shooting friend went viral. Clark reacted to that photo with a message to Hull on Instagram:

“Ily @lexiehull.”

Caitlin Clark and Lexie Hull quickly became friends after the Fever made the former Iowa superstar the No. 1 pick of the 2024 draft. On the court, they showed undeniable chemistry that helped the Fever break a seven-year playoff drought. The two spent their first offseason together tasting food and drinks around Indianapolis.

Clark had an injury-plagued 2025 campaign, but she remained engaged and active. She was the Fever’s biggest supporter on the sidelines.

After their season ended in September against the Las Vegas Aces, Hull and Clark spent part of the offseason together. In mid-November, Hull and Sophie Cunningham joined Clark in The Annika golf tournament. While the two-time All-Star competed, Hull and Cunningham served as caddies.

Fever projected to pair Caitlin Clark with player who matches Lexie Hull's skillset

The Indiana Fever’s improbable run in 2025 prevented them from landing a higher pick in the 2026 WNBA draft. Despite an injury-plagued season, which included only 13 games from Caitlin Clark, the Fever almost made it to the final. After back-to-back postseason appearances, the Fever are set to pick at No. 10

The Athletic released a mock draft on Monday and predicted the Fever to take Gabriela Jaquez, a 6-foot wing from UCLA.

“The Fever need a role player with toughness who can defend, move off the ball and shoot from distance. Jaquez fits the bill. … A player who is always willing to sacrifice her body and crash the boards resembles fellow former Pac-12 alum Lexie Hull, especially if Jaquez’s 3-point shooting (47.4 percent this season) isn’t just a hot streak.”

Lexie Hull is a restricted free agent who wants to stay in Indiana. Still, if she leaves, the team could look at Jaquez as a floor-spacing defensive wing who could take over Hull’s role.
