Caitlin Clark is set to participate in The ANNIKA Pro-Am golf tournament later this week for the second year in a row. United States President Donald Trump's granddaughter, Kai Trump, who is set to make her LPGA debut there, had a heartfelt message for the Indiana Fever star.

Speaking at the pre-tournament media availability, Kai acknowledged the impact of Clark on women's sports. She even considered the Iowa product as one of her role models as an athlete, while also viewing herself as one for aspiring young female golfers.

"What Caitlin is doing for women’s basketball is amazing," Kai said, according to The Mirror. "She's a great role model to many people out there. I'm very lucky that people also look up to me in that way in golf."

In addition to being a presidential granddaughter, Kai Trump has been part of the growing popularity of women's golf. The 18-year-old is slowly turning into a star, gaining support from Donald Trump and Tiger Woods.

As for Caitlin Clark, she's one of the main reasons why women's basketball has become popular. Clark made history during college and has been doing the same thing in the WNBA, despite all the negativity surrounding her first two seasons with the Indiana Fever.

The WNBA star is set to make her return at The ANNIKA after taking over the tournament last year, as her fans packed the Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida. She will have Fever teammates Sophie Cunningham and Lexie Hull as her guest caddies for the event from Nov. 13 to 16.

Speaking on the Golf Channel on Monday, Annika Sorenstam, the organizer of The ANNIKA, talked about the impact of Caitlin Clark on the tournament. Tickets were in demand from Clark's fans, though the buzz wasn't as big as last year, mainly due to the Indiana Fever star missing most of the season due to injuries.

"(Clark) added so much excitement to the tournament," Sorenstam said, according to Golf Digest. "We had a lot of people come out; they were standing on the first tee at 7 a.m., waiting for her to see that first shot. ... She loves the game of golf, and I'm so glad that she wanted to come back because it brings more people to the game, brings more people to the tournament, and that's really what we're looking for."

The Golf Channel will also air Clark's appearance live on the green. She's set to get an on-air interview, as are Sophie Cunningham and Lexie Hull.
