Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark addressed the rumors of her possibly playing in Project B, a new women's basketball league set to launch in the fall of 2026.In the Dec. 4 episode of her "Show Me Something" podcast, Fever guard Sophie Cunningham said that she tried to recruit the former Rookie of the Year to join the startup league. However, it seems that Clark has no interest in playing in another league outside of the WNBA.Following Team USA Basketball's training camp on Friday, Clark was asked if she was approached by Project B and if she plans to play in the startup league. The two-time WNBA All-Star said that the emergence of new leagues is beneficial for the women's basketball landscape."I plan to play in the WNBA," Clark said. "Obviously, that's another thing that we need to get done so that we have a season coming up here. But I think more than anything, it showcases what people think of women’s basketball."All these different opportunities, all these different leagues, the platform that they want to give women's basketball, where they think women's basketball is gonna continue to grow. I think the thing that probably pops into my mind is just that, of people are really believing, and putting their money where their mouth is."And that hasn't always been the case for women's basketball, no matter how great it has been over the course of the last 25, 30 years. So for myself, the thing that I'm probably the most proud of is how excited people are to really want to invest and support women's basketball more than anything."Project B league has already signed some of Caitlin Clark's Fever teammates, including Cunningham and Kelsey Mitchell. In addition, several WNBA All-Stars like Nneka Ogwumike, Alyssa Thomas, Jonquel Jones and Jewell Loyd have been announced to join the basketball league. According to Front Office Sports, player salaries will start at $2 million per season.Several of Caitlin Clark's Fever teammates will also join Unrivaled's second season in January. Among those playing in the 3-on-3 league are Mitchell, Aliyah Boston, Lexie Hull, Aari McDonald and Makayla Timpson.Caitlin Clark comments on being back to 100%During her exit interview following the 2025 WNBA season, Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark said that among her offseason plans was to prepare herself for the Team USA duties. In a media availability on Zoom on Friday, Clark, who has been recovering from her lower-body injuries, said she is happy to be back to 100%."Honestly, I feel like when I touched the basketball to start warming up before the practice even started, that's probably when I felt pretty comfortable," Clark said. "I worked so hard, like I haven't taken a break since the beginning of the WNBA season, with all my rehab, getting back to where I wanted to be and getting even better."That's been my focus, and this has been my next thing I've been working for since our season ended. ... For myself, it's not proving it to yourself again, it's just that feeling. It just made me smile quite a bit. I really did feel like myself out there, and just continuing to get my lungs back, but I felt like I was moving really well, so it was pretty satisfying."The Fever star was part of the 18-player roster announced last month that attended USA Basketball's three-day training camp at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.Ten players made their senior national team camp debuts, including Caitlin Clark, reigning Rookie of the Year Paige Bueckers and Chicago Sky star Angel Reese.
