A wave of sudden, seemingly unjustified YouTube channel terminations has stirred massive outrage across the creator community. This issue started gaining attention when popular creator Enderman, whose nine-year-old channel had over 380,000 subscribers, was terminated without any warning. He alleged that his account was wrongfully linked by YouTube’s automation systems, and no human review was done in the process.

He even shared the automated message that he received initially from the platform regarding the channel termination:

“Your channel, Enderman, wasn’t following our policy on Terms of Service. We removed it to protect our community. If you think we made the wrong call, we’d be happy to take another look. Begin your review to see more info and to start your appeal. You can review and appeal until November 4, 2025.”

Enderman’s posts regarding the channel termination quickly went viral, with numerous other creators opening up about their experiences. Many people have alleged that YouTube’s moderation and enforcement systems have been entirely handed over to automated AI bots, with no human review.

Everything you need to know about YouTube’s alleged unfair channel termination controversy

On November 3, 2025, Enderman publicly announced his channel termination on X. On the same day, he followed the platform’s suggestion of submitting an appeal. However, he shared that the appeal system felt “useless.”

According to the automated response, his channel was terminated because it was linked to other channels that were previously removed for copyright strikes, and his appeal was rejected.

Many other creators, such as Old Money Documentaries, ScratchitGaming, and MAGEFIST, shared about receiving a similar termination message from the platform. Meanwhile, some other creators stated that their channels were also terminated, but for "spam, scam, & deceptive practices."

After a lot of backlash from the community. YouTube officially responded to Enderman on X, and the next day, numerous channels were unbanned again. However, even the official response sparked criticism, as many users alleged that the response was written by an AI support system.

Moreover, not all of the creators got their channels back. The affected creators pointed out that many of these terminated channels were years old, had substantial followings, and had never received prior strikes.

Since then, the platform has been under fire for allegedly using AI for content moderation and even customer support. Some creators have argued that once the algorithm flags a channel, automated decisions may proceed with little or no human oversight.
