The creator boxing sphere has seen some trouble recently with YouTuber Olajide "KSI" Olatunji being "relinquished" of his role as CEO of the Misfits Boxing enterprise, by Mams Taylor, Olatunji's manager and current President of Misfits. For context, the YouTuber and his manager founded the enterprise in 2022 with the Misfits & DAZN: X Series 001 on August 27, 2022, becoming the debut event.Series 001 saw KSI take on rapper Swarmz and Luis Alcaraz Pineda on the same night. Since then, Olatunji has taken more of a back seat in Misfits' cards, and while he appeared as a presenter, his fighting endeavors became more scarce.Mams Taylor seemingly took the helm of operation initially and recently claimed that he came up with the idea of "Misfits Boxing":"When KSI said, 'I wanna box,' I said, 'Let's have your own IP, you don't need to work for anyone, let's create our own IP.' I came up with the name Misfits Boxing... I put everything together... We had a tremendous run."Mams Taylor then touched on how Olatunji distanced himself from boxing, citing illness as a primary reason. This distance seemingly continued to grow and eventually reached a breaking point. Taylor mentioned the YouTuber's lackluster involvement in event rollouts and claimed that the "two-way street" of partnership was lost: "Then, KSI said, 'Hey, I need a break from boxing.' The break was over; it was time for him to fight. He got sick, he hurt his hand, fair enough. Then it happened a second time and almost sank the ship of Misfits Boxing. Since then, it's been a tweet here, a story there, that's it. He's the CEO? Where's Misfits gonna go from here? It's got to be a two-way street when you have a partnership, and this is a one-way street, and this street is going down. I won't allow Misfits Boxing to go down."Taylor then explained that following a board meeting, KSI was removed as CEO of the enterprise. Businessman and internet personality Andrew Tate was later revealed to be filling the executive position.In response, Olatunji dubbed the takeover the "dumbest thing" he's seen in his life and also called out Taylor for neglecting his duties as his career manager:"This year people are trying to test me fr.
