A video of Dennis "Cloakzy" claiming that certain streamers could not play any other game besides Call of Duty Black Ops 7 for a week has gone viral on social media. On November 16, 2025, X user @ModernWarzone shared a 26-second video from Cloakzy's recent livestream.According to the professional gamer, Matthew "Nadeshot" was unable to play Arc Raiders because he was allegedly compelled to play Call of Duty Black Ops 7 for a week as part of a contractual agreement. While telling his audience to "point and laugh" at Nadeshot, Cloakzy said:"Chat, he can't play CoD... I mean, he can't play Arc Raiders because he has a f**king week-long CoD ad, and he can only f**king play CoD for a week! Everyone, point and laugh at him!"Nadeshot responds to claims that he can't play any other game besides Call of Duty Black Ops 7 due to contractual obligationsNadeshot responded to Cloakzy's statement via an X post on November 16, 2025. While claiming that the latter's comments were "getting blown out of proportion," the founder of 100 Thieves stated that he "can play other games" after completing the sponsored hours required to play Call of Duty Black Ops 7 each day:"This is all getting blown out of proportion. I agreed to do sponsored streams on Black Ops 7, two months ago before the beta even went live. I can play other games when those sponsored hours for each day are done. Streamers have been doing sponsored ads on games for over a decade. I’ve been playing Call of Duty for almost two decades. I genuinely cannot believe people don’t understand that I was going to play BO7 when it was released regardless and there was an opportunity to get paid as well, why would I say no?"Furthermore, Nadeshot described livestreaming as a "business for him" and added:"On top of that, streaming is a business for me. No other way around it. I won’t ever shy away from admitting that because I’m not ashamed of it. I understand everyone has different opinions about the streaming industry but I’ve been streaming since monetization even existed on platforms. Now I can make a living from it. You’re out of your mind if you think I’m not going to do this until the wheels off."Some agencies were enforcing a no-compete to creators" - Tom Henderson comments on Cloakzy's statementTom Henderson, a well-known gaming journalist and insider, has shared his thoughts on Cloakzy's comments. While calling the streamer's statements "interesting," Henderson claimed that "some agencies were enforcing a no-compete" on content creators. He elaborated:"This is interesting. I was pursuing this as a story 4-5 weeks ago... Back then, some agencies were enforcing a no-compete to creators where they couldn't stream any other game in the same genre during the contract period - Even if they wanted to play organically. Activision PR even told me over the phone that this is normal in the industry, but I've ever only heard of it in the mobile gaming space, not AAA. Regardless, these no-compete clauses can be negotiated out. Perhaps a story for another time, but creators have seen some of the biggest dollar signs ever for sponsorships these past few months. Competition is good... ha."As of this writing, Call of Duty has not officially responded to Cloakzy's statements.
