Twitch star Blaire "QTCinderella" has responded to claims that 'problematic streamers get blackballed' from being nominated for The Streamer Awards. During a livestream on November 16, 2025, the day QTCinderella announced the nominees for The Streamer Awards 2025, her attention was drawn to a live viewer's comment about "problematic" content creators not being mentioned at her event.

Claiming that certain streamers' audience "doesn't show up" to nominate them, the Los Angeles-based personality used the example of permanently-banned Kick personality Jack Doherty, and said:

"Somebody said, 'Are problematic people blackballed from getting nominated?' No! They've just never nominated. Turns out, their audience doesn't show up. I think when people have, like, a crazy audience or whatever, you know, I don't see Jack Doherty's audience voting for him. I just don't. They just don't show up. I don't know."

While expressing her amusement at streamers' audiences "complaining every year," QTCinderella remarked:

"It is always funny. Audiences will complain every year that they weren't nominated, and then, like, not do nominations on stream or not tweet about it, or not, like, ask their audience to vote for them. They gave nothing! You know, it's like, you've got to! You do have to log in with the Twitch account, and you have to fill it out, which I know some people's viewers don't have... I won't say the quiet part out loud. So..."

Numerous fans on X have shared their thoughts on QTCinderella's comments.

"Is that why asmongold wasn't nominated for best just chatting???" X user @NICER208 wrote.
"i think that's a bit too simplistic, don't you? maybe it's not about the audience showing up, but about the awards committee being tone deaf and only rewarding people who make them feel comfortable. like, have you ever noticed how often "problematic" streamers get nominated for their "edgy" content, but not for actually doing something groundbreaking or innovative?" X user @JohTha remarked.
