While claiming that she chose to drive to the Midwestern region of the United States after being advised "not to fly alone anymore," the professional cosplayer stated:

"I drove up to Kansas by myself because... this is kind of depressing, I don't want to kill the vibe. But, like, I have been recommended to not fly alone anymore. So, I decided to drive to Kansas, and I visited my parents..."

Hundreds of fans on the streamer-focused subreddit have shared their thoughts on Emiru's statements, with many wondering why she was told not to fly alone.

"i dont get it, if shes doing it cause of stalkers, wouldnt it be easier for stalkers to stalk her driving? how is driving safer in this instance?" Reddit user Budget-Chair8242 wrote.
"Assuming this is relating to security, I’d find it hard to imagine she can’t hire a personal guard for a flight(s)? If it’s a physical/mental issue then yes that just sucks I suppose as driving is inherently more dangerous." Reddit user defnotbjk stated.

"how would the stalkers even know she is getting on a flight?" Reddit user p3t45m remarked.
"There's a lot more security on airplanes and in airports than she'd get driving her personal car around, so not really sure I get the logic that driving alone is any better. The truth is she probably needs to a guard if she's ever out alone. Sucks, but that's celebrity life." Reddit user smersh101 commented.

The OTK (One True King) member said:

"I basically asked them (Twitch) for a list of things, and they agreed to all of them... One of the things that I asked for, that was like, important to me was, I asked if they would do a $100,000 donation to a violence protection charity, and they said yes. So they are probably going to do that in about a month, and they’ll post about that when they do that."
