IShowSpeed has been on a unique journey into professional wrestling over the past few months. He has been training at the WWE Performance Center and learning the basics from active wrestlers. He has practiced drills, conditioning, promos, and even took part in a short match against Anthony Luke. The 20-year-old streamer has surprised many wrestling fans with how naturally he picks things up, especially when it comes to selling moves and hyping up the crowd.

IShowSpeed’s WWE journey has been making headlines lately because he doesn’t seem to be doing it for a cameo or one-time feature. He has been putting in real work with real wrestlers, and his dedication has convinced even some WWE legends that he might have a serious future in wrestling.

Recently, John Cena was invited to Joe Rogan's podcast, and IShowSpeed’s potential in WWE came up during the conversation. The two watched a clip of the YouTuber and streamer beating others in sprint races, and Cena immediately pointed out how athletic he is. He said IShowSpeed has everything needed to succeed in pro wrestling. Still, Cena made it clear that he hopes the streamer stays focused on streaming and content creation instead of switching careers completely:

"So I see this and be like, this kid should be a wrestler. Because he is athletic, and he can talk shit, and back it up. My god, this kid, he would be a 20-time champion whatever. But no, he should do this (livestreaming). You see the sprinting potential, I see the wrestling potential, he should do neither. He should just do that (referring to the sprinting clip), and just keep crushing."

Randy Orton believes IShowSpeed could be a full-time WWE Superstar

As part of his training for the Speed Goes Pro series, the 20-year-old content creator has been learning directly from Randy Orton. He visited the WWE Performance Center, where he worked on running the ropes, shoulder tackles, movement timing, and selling moves for the camera. He even received tips from popular wrestlers such as Lince Dorado and Sheamus.

For those who may not know, IShowSpeed has already appeared in WWE multiple times before. He first showed up in a comedic role as the Prime bottle in Wrestlemania, and even as a surprise appearance in the 2025 Royal Rumble.

One of the standout moments came when Randy Orton slammed a chair into his back, and he sold the pain so realistically that Orton was briefly convinced he had actually injured him. Although IShowSpeed still has a long way to go, Orton believes he has what it takes to become a full-time WWE Superstar if he chooses that path.
