"I don't like gambling streams, if streamers want to do it they should do it offline. Clips like this showing streamers winning bets is just another form of promotion (that's the business model of Kick). Gambling addiction is becoming a epidemic in young people, with b*tting apps promoting any competition." Reddit user danielsan901998 commented.

HasanAbi responds to backlash over his horse race b*tting post

During a recent Just Chatting livestream, HasanAbi reacted to a TikTok video showing him winning $29,550 HKD by b*tting $1,000 HKD on a horse race event. At one point, his attention was drawn to a live viewer's comment about why he was "supporting corrupt horse racing."

The Twitch streamer seemed to give a rather sarcastic response, saying:

"'Why are you supporting corrupt horse racing?' Because I hate animals, and not only do I love gambling, I also love tormenting animals in general. Like, I'm a fan of, specifically, I thought you were here for Shockgate or whatever, Shocktober 7th. This is my new meta. I am in favor of the widespread torture of animals. I hope that was clear to you."

When his fans said that netizens could clip what he said and share it out of context, HasanAbi replied:

"'They are going to clip you.' I don't give a s**t, dude. Oh, no! 'Hasan, you fall for these rage-bait chatters too easily.' Brother, that's a 47-month subscriber. If you think that's a rage-bait chatter, I don't know what you're talking about. That's a sincere moral purist in the chat, who's just like, 'You went to Hong Kong and participated in a very Hong Kong thing to do, and I'm going to debate the semantics of how devastating that is, while simultaneously overlooking the fact that you consume a metric ton of chicken all the time as well.'"

HasanAbi made headlines on November 15, 2025, when he responded to allegations that he was spreading Chinese propaganda.
