As of November 6, 2025, the series has not been officially renewed for a second season. With big revelations and twisting developments shown at the end of the season, there are several points yet to be addressed from Russ/Chad's story. Characters like Ricky and Coach Hudson also had unique journeys throughout the first season, which could further be explored in a potential second season.
For any series to return with another installment, the support of viewers is a significant step. The viewers' reactions and the show's performance determine the fate of the series, and Glen Powell has confirmed the same in the case of Chad Powers season 2.
Speaking to ClutchPoints recently, the lead actor of Chad Powers season 1 revealed that increased viewership may help bring plans for a second season to daylight. Elaborating on this, he said in the interview:

Powell's words indicate that fans of the series will have to show their support further to make season 2 happen. Viewers can expect to receive more information about the next season to come out soon.
