1) Metro Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.

Major filming for Stranger Things 5 took place in Metro Atlanta, Georgia. The town of Jackson doubled as Hawkins in the latest season. What is seen as Hawkins National Laboratory in season 5 is the former site of the Georgia Mental Health Institute in Atlanta. The crew also utilised Bellwood Quarry, Tara Theater, and the Cinespace Studios for filming elaborate sequences in Atlanta.

The Turnbow mansion, where a major sequence involving Derek Turnbow unfolds, was shot in Stone Mountain. Chattahoochee Hills in southwest Atlanta was the location used by the crew to create the set for the Squawk radio station. Dominick's of Norcross, a prominent Italian restaurant in Norcross, Georgia, was showcased as Enzo's in the series.

Brooks Farm in Brook and Oglethorpe University in Brookhaven are also prominent locations used by the production team of the series. The counties of Fulton, Cobb, Gwinnett, DeKalb, and Clayton were the primary filming locations for the team.

Scenes within and around the Creel House were filmed at the mansion built in 1882.
