Pluribus season 1 is Apple TV's newest original show from Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan. This science fiction drama series follows miserable author Carol Sturka, played by Rhea Seehorn, who also starred in Gilligan's Better Call Saul as Kim Wexler.However, in Pluribus, Seehorn is no longer a retired business lawyer and public defender but a best-selling romantacy novel author and one of the few people immune to the virus in the show's apocalyptic plot. It served as the primary hub for shooting scenes for the show and also the central location for the unfolding events in the show. The production team utilized various filming locations in the city to provide the story with varied and versatile backdrops, depending on the scene's requirements.They filmed along real city streets and featured local exteriors, but also utilized the downtown production facility. For Carol's house in the series, production built a fictional cul-de-sac and seven real houses as part of the neighborhood on the outskirts of Albuquerque. The decision was made due to previous incidents and issues, such as vandalism in Walter White's neighborhood, as seen in Breaking Bad.According to the Albuquerque Journal, Gilligan stated that choosing to set and film Pluribus season 1 in the city was deliberate due to his positive experiences there. He said:"I've worked with stellar crews. Some of these folks [in Albuquerque] I've worked with for nearly 20 years."The show reportedly filmed in town for nearly eight months and employed more than 1,400 New Mexicans. The production brought Gilligan to Spain for the first time, and according to the series creator, they shot some scenes in the Canary Islands and La Palma. The Norwegian ice hotel scenes and the hillside of Tangier, Morocco, in the series were reportedly filmed in the Spanish islands.Pluribus also filmed additional portions in Helena, Montana, which mirrors the diverse landscape of Albuquerque.What is Pluribus all about?Apple TV's Pluribus season 1 synopsis teases the mystery of the plot and Rhea Seehorn's character.
