The Mighty Nein season 1 premiered on November 19, 2025, on Prime Video. The series is based on the popular second episode of Critical Role. It keeps moving forward with Critical Role games after The Legend of Vox Machina was a hit.
The Mighty Nein follows a group of misfits with troubled pasts as they become entwined in a larger conflict. As the Dwendalian Empire and Kryn Dynasty prepare for war, these heroes must work together to protect The Beacon, a great arcane treasure.
The official synopsis, according to Prime Video, reads,
"A group of outcasts, criminals and misfits stumble into saving the continent when an arcane relic capable of reshaping reality falls into the wrong hands."
Laura Bailey, Ashley Johnson, Liam O'Brien, and Taliesin Jaffe are among the Critical Role team members who provide the voices for The Mighty Nein. They return to play roles such as Mollymauk, Caleb, Yasha, and the Jester. Here is the complete list of the main and supporting cast of the series.

1) Laura Bailey as Jester Lavorre

Jester Lavorre, a playful Traveler tiefling cleric, is chaotic. Despite her eccentricities, Jester's healing powers and supernatural connection to the Traveler make her a crucial team member.
Laura Bailey is best known for portraying Abby in The Last of Us Part II, for which she won a BAFTA award. Bailey has also voiced Mary Jane Watson in Spider-Man 2, Selina Kyle in Batman: The Telltale Series, and Tier Harribel in Bleach.
2) Liam O'Brien as Caleb Widogast

Liam O'Brien plays the character of Caleb Widogast, a reserved and complex human wizard with a tragic past. His mastery of fire magic and deep-seated guilt define much of his journey throughout The Mighty Nein season 1.
Liam O'Brien is known for voicing Gaara in Naruto and Vax'ildan in The Legend of Vox Machina. In addition to his voice acting, O’Brien has written for both Naruto and The Legend of Vox Machina.
3) Ashley Johnson as Yasha Nydoorin

Ashley Johnson voiced Yasha Nydoorin, who is a battle-hardened barbarian with a fearsome reputation, known as “The Orphan Maker.” Her fearsome look belies her kindness, and she joins The Mighty Nein.
Ashley Johnson is recognized for her role as Ellie in The Last of Us, both in the video game and the HBO adaptation. She has also starred in Blindspot and voiced Terra in Teen Titans.

4) Marisha Ray as Beauregard "Beau" Lionett

Marisha Ray portrays Beauregard Lionett, or Beau. Beau is a human monk with a strong sense of justice and a sharp, sometimes abrasive personality. She is skilled in martial arts and investigative work, being a member of the Cobalt Soul,
As a producer, creative director, and Keyleth voice actor, Marisha Ray has been a staple of Critical Role. Ray is recognized for her cosplays and behind-the-scenes work at Critical Role.
5) Sam Riegel as Nott the Brave

Nott the Brave, originally known as Veth Brenatto, is a goblin rogue with a complex backstory and a deep sense of mistrust. The character is voiced by Sam Riegel. Despite her hardships and loss, Nott's wit and subtlety make her a great team member.
Sam Riegel is a voice actor with a range of roles for voicing Donatello in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Phoenix Wright in Ace Attorney.
