Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures season 3 opened with an episode filled with hope and adventure as the three Jedi younglings continued their training on Tenoo. While the series finale started with the same level of hope and excitement, things soon descended into chaos. After Rek creates a new way to control droids, his battle droid, Apexx, decides to use the new device to get rid of the Jedi from the planet.
Meanwhile, unaware that all this was happening, the village was preparing for its Welcome festival with the three Jedi younglings helping set things up. That was until Apexx and his newly created droid army attacked, wreaking havoc across the town. However, Kai, Lys, and Nubs joined forces with Rek to help fight Apexx, who was joined by a few other friends as well.
In the end, while Apexx caused serious damage to the town, Rek managed to convince his droid that trying to drive the Jedi away wasn’t the right move and that they should be friends instead. It works perfectly as Apexx stands down and hands over control to the droid army.
Apexx causes serious damage to the village of Tenoo, but Rek and the younglings save the day

Throughout Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures season 3, Rek caused all sorts of problems for the three young Jedi. His attempts to make friends, both with droids and people, repeatedly failed as he went about things the wrong way. Nothing showed this more than the series finale, when he built a remote that allowed him to control droids via a bot attachment.
Not realizing that his creation could be used for evil, Rek only saw the good and was stunned when Apexx took over the remote and tried to kick the Jedi out of Tenoo. He then attacked the village where people were preparing to host a Welcome celebration for new Jedi younglings arriving on the planet.
Unhappy with that, Apexx and his droid army proceeded to wreak havoc on the town, destroying everything in sight and attacking the people. However, Kai, Lys, and Nubs realized what was happening, ran to Rek’s ship, thinking he was behind it all. But when they arrived, they found Rek imprisoned, and the group joined forces to stop Apexx’s path of destruction.
They brought in another friend, Cyrus Vuundir, to help them get to the town faster, and the group soon arrived. Apexx, who had already started on his plan to destroy the town, was now blocked by the group. Things quickly turned intense as the three young Jedi fought the battle droid, only for Apexx to fall short when the younglings used the Force to stop him.
This gave Rek the chance to appeal to Apexx and plead for him to become friends with everyone, which succeeded. He even gave up the remote, and Rek destroyed it, turning the droid army back into friendly droids. Not only that, Apexx and Rek helped the group rebuild the damage and redecorate the town for the Welcome celebration.
Kai Brightstar finally realizes why Master Yoda sent them to Tenoo in Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures season 3
Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures begins with Kai Brightstar losing his training lightsaber shortly after arriving on Tenoo. However, he does this to save his friend and fellow Jedi youngling Nubs in the premiere episode, with Yoda gifting Kai his green training lightsaber to use. In the penultimate episode of Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures season 3, Kai finds his old saber.
The training saber was lying there, symbolizing a full circle for the Jedi youngling as he and his group went on another adventure. He simply holsters the blade and forgets about it until the series finale, when Apexx attacks the three younglings with four blades.
Since Apexx was built to fight them, he knows all their moves. That changes when Kai pulls out his old saber and dual-wields the two sabers to challenge the battle droid in season 3. It works perfectly as Apexx struggles against Kai’s new weapons, eventually allowing the three younglings to stop the droid using the Force.
After settling the encounter, Master Yoda arrives on Tenoo with a new group of Jedi younglings, and the village welcomes them with a celebration. During the party, Kai approaches Yoda and thanks him for lending him his old training lightsaber and returns it, having found his own in Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures season 3.
He also thanks Yoda for the blade and feels he now understands why Yoda sent them there: the three younglings needed to realize there’s more to being a Jedi than just fighting. Over the course of three seasons, they made new friends, forged their own path, and learned to trust in the Force.
