Things kick off with her speaking to Joyce and getting everything she asked for, including a new parking space. She was even teased for getting a new space, with Matt and Serena joining in.However, after overhearing Rene and the nurses complain that Joyce has refused to speak to them over reimbursement for their Continuing Education System (CES), Alex decides to act. She boasts to the nurses that Joyce will agree this time, leads Rene to her, and attempts to leverage her new standing.But Joyce refuses to budge, putting Alex in an impossible situation as Rene tries to stage a walkout. The nurses agree to the walkout, with Alex quickly informing Joyce. Despite the latter overlooking his advice, Ron insisted and even planned an entire dinner date for him and Joyce, only to be ignored.Ron’s frustration eventually led to him lambasting Sanderson, condemning the latter's lack of effort. Frustrated, he decided to step aside, with Bruce taking the initiative and helping Sanderson plan a bizarre but grand proposal in St Denis Medical season 2 episode 8.The charade included Sanderson jumping out of a body bag.
