She also sets an ambitious goal of discharging 50 patients, well above their average of 40, and throws herself into the work as Val and Alex watch on.It soon becomes clear that Joyce has a better handle on things than the duo expected, as she efficiently attends to the patients while providing proper care. So the two nurses decide to get in her way by assigning her the toughest, most troublesome patients in St. Denis Medical season 2 episode 6.Even that doesn't seem to deter Joyce at first until the patient load starts getting to her. In addition, she hasn’t eaten, rested, or even had a drink of water the whole time.
