Pluribus season 1 episode 6 ending explained: How does Manousos finally leave his house?

Manousos largely remained aloof from the rest of the immune, purposely not connecting with them after the twisted turn of events. However, in episode 6, Carol's tape brought a big change that could turn his fate and the plot ahead.
Towards the end of the episode, Carol's tape about the findings and her hope to reverse the virus's effects on the Others is delivered to Manousos, who lives in isolation in Paraguay. As he sees the video, the immune is motivated by Carol's words.
The viewers get to see him head to his home and pack his belongings for what seemed like a journey to unite with Carol. This raises hope as this character might become Carol's first teammate in the series. As he is set to take his car out, a hive member appears as his mother. She asks if he needed any help, to which he bluntly shut her down. The episode ended with Manousos driving away from his home, hinting that he could bring a new turn to Carol's efforts in the show.
What does Carol learn about HDP?

Meeting Diabaté and informing him about her findings at the warehouse became one of Carol's main missions in Pluribus season 1 episode 6. However, towards the end of the episode, she finds out that the fellow immune knew a lot more than her, and the revelations he made left her completely shocked.
Diabaté showed her a video narrated by John Cena, where the latter revealed the secret behind the dismembered human body parts she found at the warehouse. Cena revealed that killing a living thing was not something the hive mind could do, so food sources became scarce for feeding the large population. As many humans died daily, their bodies were used as Human Derived Protein (HDP) to meet the Others' calorie requirements.

Did the Others find a way to turn the immune like them?

While the revelation about HDP was heavy for Carol to process, Diabaté shared another shocking development with her. He stated that the Others had learnt how to turn the immune like them.
However, Diabaté revealed that they could not lay a finger on them as the process required their consent. They could do so only by altering the immune's stem cells, which included a lengthy and risky process. Without consent, the procedure could not be executed.
In the end, Carol informs the Others that she does not consent to the process and saves herself, further leaving to continue her search for a remedy.
