The episode picks up where episode 5’s chaos left off, with Douglas missing, Maxine and Dr. Dusty Magic going on a date, and Mitzi, Dinah, and Perry searching across Palm Beach for the missing Douglas. Meanwhile, the situation hasn’t changed for the former Mrs Dellacorte-Simmons as she scrambles to keep herself out of trouble.Things eventually reach a head when Perry breaks into Pinky and Raquel’s house as he, Dinah, and Mitzi believe the couple is holding Douglas, as he owes them money. (Image via Getty)Palm Royale season 2 episode 5 kicks off with Maxine on a date with Dr Dusty Magic. While the two of them clearly have chemistry, Maxine still resists his attempts to kiss her. She eventually tells him that they won’t kiss until after they have three dates.Meanwhile, Mary gives Maxine a message from Linda. It turns out that she is fine in Cuba, but needs money to fund some plan she has in mind, and thus needs $100,000.That becomes a big problem for Maxine, as she is now broke after Norma stole all her money and fled in the previous episode. However, she and Evelyn decide to sell the gold and use the funds for their purchase of the Palm Royale. But they face problems with that when the value of the gold drops after a scandal. Dr Dusty comes to the rescue. He tells them to sell the gold to Magde Post, and the plan works out as they get enough to send Linda and use to buy the resort in Palm Royale season 2 episode 5. Meanwhile, Mitzi has just realised that Douglas has disappeared. She goes to Dinah and Perry for help, who immediately take her to Pinky and Raquel.Douglas owes them money, and the couple believes that they are the ones who kidnapped him. An odd noise and thumping sounds coming from a shed all but confirm that, leading to Perry breaking into their house later that night.However, all he finds is a pig that Raquel has kept to be slaughtered and eaten, with no sign of Douglas, who has just arrived at Maxine’s house. It turns out the FBI kidnapped him because he had helped Linda escape. However, they released Douglas since they were really after Pinky, as it was his plane on which Linda escaped.What to expect from Palm Royale season 2 episode 6Judging by the end of episode 5, a lot could potentially happen in Palm Royale season 2 episode 6, especially as Douglas has now returned after being captured by the FBI. He did tell Maxine that the FBI only let him go because they wanted Pinky. However, the situation could be changed, especially since Douglas owes Pinky money.Meanwhile, for Maxine, things became complicated when Dr. Dusty Magic spotted her and Douglas together and stepped aside, believing that she harbored feelings for him. That does leave her love life uncertain, which means it’s up to her to untangle the complicated situation or move on to another potential suitor.She’s also in hot water with Evelyn after she discovered that Maxine was the one who helped Linda escape, and she threatened to ban her from Palm Royale after the sale was complete.
