Little House on the Prairie star Melissa Gilbert put Megyn Kelly on blast following the latter's remarks about Jeffrey Epstein. Kelly recently said in the recent episode of The Megyn Kelly Show that she knows somebody very close to the case, and according to the said person, Epstein "was not a pedophile" because he was "into barely legal type," like 15-year-olds and not 8-year-olds.

Following Kelly's comments, 61-year-old Melissa Gilbert participated in the #iWasFifteen trend, where women share photos of themselves when they were 15. On the actress's November 15 Instagram post, she shared two photos from when she was 15. One was of her on vacation with her family, and another of her being embraced by her former co-star Dean Butler, now 69, for Little House. She wrote:

"I decided to Google search myself at that age and see what came up. And this is some of what I found...and now, at this age, at this time, I am actually nauseated. The girl on vacation in Hawaii with her family, is the same girl who was expected to "fall in love with" and kiss a man on film who was several years older than she was."

Looking at it now, she said, makes things feel "shocking." She added, "I WAS A CHILD. I WAS FIFTEEN." And while the actress feels fortunate that she had her mom and Michael [Landon], who made sure she was safe, she said that other young women aren't as fortunate, so she left a brief but impactful message to Megyn Kelly. She ended the post, saying:

"@megynkelly you need to be careful with your words."

Epstein was convicted in 2008 for soliciting a minor for pr**titution in Florida and charged for s*x trafficking minors in New York in 2019. But he reportedly passed away by apparent s**cide in his cell before his trial.

Melissa Gilbert previously criticized Megyn Kelly for what she said about the Little House reboot

Melissa Gilbert's latest comment to Megyn Kelly is not the first time the actress has called out the political commentator online. Back in January, she also clapped back at the conservative commentator after the latter got riled up about Netflix rebooting Little House on the Prairie.

Kelly tagged Netflix, saying: "If you wokeify Little House on the Prairie I will make it my singular mission to absolutely ruin your project." Melissa Gilbert, who starred in the series throughout its entire run from 1974 to 1983, tagged Megyn Kelly on Threads and said:

"Ummm...watch the original again. TV doesn't get too much more "woke" than we did. We tackled: racism, addiction, nativism, antisemitism, misogyny, r*pe, spousal abuse and every other "woke" topic you can think of. Thank you very much."

As for the new Netflix adaptation of the family drama, the streamer announced the project back in January 2025. Casting details were released in May, with Alice Halsey, Skywalker Hughes, Luke Bracey, and Crosby Fitzgerald starring in it.

According to Melissa Gilbert, per People in February, the Little House reboot will "hew closer" to the books than the series in the 1970s did.
