When Christopher Briney spoke about The Summer I Turned Pretty's season finale

The Summer I Turned Pretty ended with its third and final season earlier this year. The climax saw Conrad and Belly (played by Lola Tung) get back to each other after drifting apart.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, published on September 18, Christopher Briney and Lola Tung reflected on the season finale. When asked about the pressure of creating the final moment, Briney answered:
"There are always scenes you’re more or less nervous for, especially if they require a lot of emotion or if it’s something that doesn’t come easily. But honestly, when we’re working, I find that I don’t really have much time to fret because we’re working so fast. We were getting these episodes as we were filming other ones."
"There was one that I had hardly read before we were already shooting it, and I was really stressed about that. I was like, I need to do my work and I haven’t had time," he added.
Christopher Briney also explained that he was keen to ensure that he did justice to it for The Summer I Turned Pretty fans. He added that he just followed the script and instructions of the director, Jenny Han.
He also explained that there is a trust factor between the cast and the crew while performing such big moments, saying:
"I hope there’s a little trust. I do my work, you do your work, Sean [Kaufman] does his work and we show up ready to tell that part of the story."
Meanwhile, Prime Video also announced a movie on The Summer I Turned Pretty in September this year. Jenny Han will co-write and direct the movie.
