HBO has officially confirmed that Lanterns season 1 will be released in mid-2026, following the release of the series's first official teaser on December 14, 2025. The American superhero television series is set to revolve around Green Lantern and characters from the DC Comics universe, with a focus on Hal Jordan and John Stewart.The show was first announced in 2019 and was originally being developed as a Green Lantern television series, but was redeveloped after James Gunn and Peter Safran took over DC Studios in 2022. It was then announced in January 2023.
