American blogger and columnist Perez Hilton recently shared his reaction after US President Donald Trump appeared to boast about his results on a dementia screening test.

According to People, on Monday, October 27, the president spoke with reporters aboard Air Force One and talked about taking an “IQ test” at Walter Reed Medical Center, challenging Democratic Reps. Jasmine Crockett and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, respectively, to take the same exam.

“They have Jasmine Crockett, a low IQ person. AOC is low IQ. You give her an IQ test, have her pass, like, the exams that I decided to take when I was at Walter Reed. I took– Those are very hard– They’re really aptitude tests, I guess, in a certain way, but they’re cognitive tests. Let AOC go against Trump,” the president said.

Bragging to reporters, the politician continued:

“Let Jasmine go against Trump. I don't think Jasmine– The first couple questions are easy: a tiger, an elephant, a giraffe, you know. When you get up to about five or six, and then when you get up to 10 and 20 and 25, they couldn’t come close to answering any of those questions.”

After the President acknowledged the exams he took at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Perez Hilton shared his reaction in his blog. On Monday, October 27, 2025, the media personality quipped:

“So much is disconcerting about this, we scarcely know where to start… it raises so many questions… It’s a test to see if someone knows where they are and what they’re doing and can remember things from moment to moment. Someone who couldn’t pass this thing should not be in any position of power, it would be highly dangerous. This is what Trump is bragging about taking. And that’s scary for two big reasons…”

In his blog, Perez Hilton discussed the Montreal Cognitive Assessment that the President might have taken. The media personality noted that it is a brief memory test for 55-85-year-olds, which checks for mild cognitive impairment, to determine whether the individual might have signs of dementia or Alzheimer’s.

Perez also noted that in this test, one of the common questions that the individual is asked is to name three pictured animals, like “a tiger, an elephant, a giraffe.” The blogger also took a jab at the 47th president of the United States, adding:

“First, the fact he took this thing at all. That means a doctor thought it was worth running this test? Is it just because of Trump’s advanced age? Or because of other factors? That’s highly concerning.”

Disregarding the President taking the dementia test, Perez Hilton questioned how the 79-year-old has been put in charge of the economy and defense.

“This is scary. Shouldn’t one of the test questions be whether the subject understood what kind of test they were taking? We mean… if he thinks he was passing an IQ test with flying colors, isn’t that alone evidence he’s potentially non compos mentis?”

For the unversed, earlier this month, the American politician had another check-up at Walter Reed. However, it is not clear if he took the MoCa once more then.

Meanwhile, as per People, White House physician Sean Barbabella gave a summary of the exam stating that Trump underwent lab testing, advanced imaging, as well as “preventive health assessments.”
