Megyn Kelly recently commented on Miranda Devine's New York Post report about Thomas Crooks, Donald Trump's would-be assassin, and compared it to Tucker Carlson's documentary about him. For the uninitiated, Tucker Carlson posted a 34-minute documentary about Thomas Crooks on social media on November 14, 2025, where he alleged that the 20-year-old was not working alone.

Meanwhile, Miranda Devine is a New York Post columnist. She recently published a report that traced Crooks' supposed social media activity leading up to the assassination attempt on Trump during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, in July 2024. The assassin was fatally shot by a Secret Service agent during the incident.

During the latest episode of The Megyn Kelly Show, which premiered on November 17, Kelly alleged that the FBI handed over information about Thomas Crooks to Miranda Devine to turn the spotlight away from Carlson's documentary.

"Tucker dropped this bomb on Thursday, the FBI was defending itself since Thursday, and Miranda Devine gets a big scoop on Monday. Do not have anything to back this up other than my suspicion that the FBI probably provided this data to Miranda," Kelly said.

She added:

"That's my guess, cause she just has excellent sources inside the government, and to me this almost seems like a headfake, like a 'look over here instead of at what Tucker did.' Because it is too coincidental. Cause we've had nothing on this guy. Nothing. And now suddenly, two big information dumps."

Kelly also noted that Carlson had previously accused the FBI of lying about Crooks having no online footprint days a day before he released his documentary. Notably, the FBI's Rapid Response X account denied Carlson's claim at the time.

“IMO the only way to fight the gov is with terrorism style attacks, sneak a bomb into an essential building and set it off before anyone sees you, track down any important people/politicians/military leaders etc and try to assassinate them."
“Any sort of head-to-head fight is suicide and even ambush/surprise attacks likely aren’t going to end well. A large portion of the war will also be propaganda/information wars — both sides will want people to join them, and a big deciding factor in wars is often which side has more popular support for them,” he added.
