Perez Hilton has reacted to the 'Slender Man' stabber escaping her group home and later being caught. This incident took place last weekend (November 22-23), as Morgan Geyser cut her ankle monitor and left her group home in Wisconsin. In 2014, Geyser and her friend, Anissa Weier, stabbed their other friend, Peyton Leutner, 19 times in the woods. Geyser was just 12 at the time, and they claimed that they did it to appease 'Slender Man'. She was sentenced to 40 years in prison for first-degree intentional homicide in 2018.However, Geyser was then moved to a group home in Wisconsin in July this year under supervision. On Saturday, November 22, she cut her ankle monitor and ran away from the group home. She was found at a truck stop in Posen, Illinois, around 170 miles away from her group home, on Sunday. The Posen police put out a statement that read:"When officers arrived, they located both subjects sleeping on the sidewalk. The female repeatedly refused to provide her real name and initially gave a false one. After continued attempts to identify her, she finally stated that she didn't want to tell officers who she was because she had 'done something really bad,' and suggested that officers could 'just Google' her name."The 22-year-old was found with a man named Chad Mecca, whom she had reportedly befriended previously. Blogger Perez Hilton shared the entire saga on his website on November 25, and wrote:"Geyser appeared in court on Monday and was ordered to be detained in the Cook County Jail. According to the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, an out-of-state warrant was issued from Wisconsin, and Geyser’s next court date is scheduled for next Tuesday.""We’re so glad Geyser is back in custody… What a wild 24 hours," he added.Hilton further wrote that Geyser was “upset that Chad was not allowed to visit her" at the group home, before they fled. Also Read: "Another Reason to Hate Adam Silver": Fans Devastated as Victor Wembanyama Confirms NBA Schedule Killed Halloween Costume PlansMore about the 'Slender Man' stabbing of 2014'Slender Man' is a fictional character who reportedly came in books to shock and scare audiences in 2009. He was deemed to be a creepy and skinny figure with tentacles on his back. As per the BBC, Morgan Geyser and Anissa Weier believed that the 'Slender Man' "would kill their relatives if they did not kill their friend to please him". Hence, Geyser stabbed Payton Leutner 19 times with a kitchen knife and ran away. A cyclist found Leutner later on and called 911.Weier pleaded guilty to "attempted second-degree homicide due to mental illness" in August 2017. In December that year, she was committed to state mental care for 25 years. She was later given a conditional release in September 2021.Meanwhile, Geyser, aka the Slender Man stabber, also signed a plea deal, admitting guilt to first-degree homicide. She was sent to a mental institution, as her lawyer, Anthony Cotton, said at the time:“It’s a confusing thing to describe because clearly she committed an offense but the law doesn’t treat her as responsible for that crime because of her mental illness.”She was then released from the institution earlier this year and put in a group home with a monitoring ankle bracelet.
