Charlie Kirk was fatally shot during an event at Utah Valley University on September 10 this year. Tyler Robinson was soon arrested for allegedly taking the shot. However, conspiracy theories around Kirk's death have been circulating since then.

Brian Harpole, who was the security chief for the late author and right-wing activist, was seen making some hand signals at the event. Some people online suggest that it could have been a signal to the shooter. Harpole spoke about these allegations in an interview on the Shawn Ryan Show, released on YouTube on November 17.

Perez Hilton reacted to this interview and the conspiracy theories on his website, writing:

"For anyone who has worked in real security, that suggestion was ridiculous. But regardless, the theories spread. And now, Harpole has come forward to confirm that NONE of it was grounded in reality."

Hilton highlighted how Kirk's death had thousands of witnesses and was captured on multiple videos as well.

"TBH that makes it even more unsettling how there were so many completely unsubstantiated conspiracies flying around immediately afterwards despite the event itself having so many witnesses. What a sick world…," he added.

Meanwhile, Brian Harpole is the head of Integrity Security Solutions, the company that provided the security for Charlie Kirk's event on September 10.

In his interview on the Shawn Ryan Show, Brian Harpole was asked about the alleged hand signals he made during the event. He said:

“If we needed to relay a message, then we’d [say it] on comms… if we notice something, we’re not gonna use a hand signal.”
“[We’d use signals that] can’t be confused with a man scratching his a*s. … It’s not good communication,” he added.

Some people online also mentioned that Frank Turek, another security personnel at the event, allegedly adjusted his hat before Charlie Kirk's shooting. Dismissing it, Harpole explained:

“It’s like, okay, substantiate. So he touched his hat. There were a line of people in the front and other people that did all kinda things, everybody’s subject to that.”

The conspiracy theories don't just stop at the security personnel, though. Many online theories have even mentioned Erika Kirk's alleged involvement in her late husband's death. Brian Harpole also spoke about these theories and said:

“I get it, I’m not a conspiracy guy, but I do believe that there are things out here bigger than you and I that are in operations. … She’s a victim, that’s her husband. How people without any proof are saying she’s responsible, that’s what makes me lose faith.”

Harpole expressed his disappointment at the rumors and conspiracy theories laid against him and his team. Notably, he also spoke about how there were concerns regarding the venue before the event, as it was open-air. He added that his team had urged it to be held indoors, but the university allegedly denied it.
