Matt Walsh has shared his thoughts on Charlie Kirk's assassination. He has claimed that the people involved in it must include at least one "radical leftist".
Charlie Kirk was fatally shot at Utah Valley University while speaking at a Turning Point USA event on September 10 this year. The authorities later arrested a man named Tyler Robinson, whose parents reportedly turned him in for the alleged shooting. His trial will commence next year.
Meanwhile, there have been plenty of conspiracy theories on the internet regarding Charlie Kirk's death. Many believe that it was allegedly done by some left-leaning people, as Kirk was a far-right activist. Sharing his thoughts on this, Matt Walsh wrote on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, December 10:
"There is one obvious hole in the Charlie Kirk assassination story, which is that leftist trans freaks were posting about the killing before it happened. That would seem to indicate that there were potentially even more leftists involved in the plot.
"If there’s a conspiracy, it’s among leftist radical militants. But either way, all of the evidence points to this being the work of at least one (possibly a lot more than one) radical leftist scumbag. They want us dead. They had every reason and every motivation to kill Charlie. And they did," he added.
There hasn't been much revelation regarding the details of Kirk's death, with the political inclination of Tyler Robinson also in question.
When Matt Walsh claimed Charlie Kirk could've become the US President

Matt Walsh spoke at length about Kirk's death on his podcast, The Matt Walsh Show, in an episode released on September 12. He spoke about the late activist's impact on politics and even claimed that his campaigns helped Donald Trump win the US presidential election.
Walsh even claimed that Kirk could have become the president one day, saying:
"Everyone who knew him and so many who did not know him personally could tell that he was destined to be the president of the United States one day."
He said that Kirk was killed because he was "widely beloved" among the younger generation. He said that he was "heartbroken and full of rage" after he received the news.
Elon Musk also blamed the left for Charlie Kirk's death
Matt Walsh isn't the only public figure to have blamed the left for the activist and author's assassination. Soon after his death, Elon Musk said that there is allegedly a lot of violence on the left, blaming them for Kirk's death.
In a conversation with Tommy Robinson on September 13, 2025, the Tesla owner said:
“You see how much violence there's on the left with our friend Charlie Kirk getting murdered in cold blood this week and people on the left celebrating it openly, the left is the party of murder and celebrating murder. Let that sink in for a minute. That's who we're dealing with here. That is who we're dealing with.”
Elon Musk also recently claimed that he has started taking extra security measures after Kirk's death. He said that he avoids stepping out for public events and added that he is more aware of his security at home.
