Conservative political commentator Brandon Tatum recently supported Candace Owens' claims that she was being threatened with assassination. For those unfamiliar, Owens made this claim in an X post on November 22, 2025, alleging that French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte Macron have "executed upon and paid for [her] assassination."
This followed the Macrons suing Owens for defamation in July 2025 for repeatedly claiming that Brigitte Macron was born male. During a recent episode of his show, The Officer Tatum, which aired on November 25, 2025, Brandon Tatum stated he was "convinced" that Owens was facing a threat to her life, adding that the American government needed to investigate the alleged threat.
"The American government, I don't care how much you don't like Candace, I don't care how much she been trashing the government and the FBI, they gotta do something! And Imma tell you what they will do. It doesn't matter right, wrong, or indifferent, they have to investigate this. They have to investigate this."
Tatum also stated that the people allegedly threatening Candace Owens should face "dire consequences."
"And I think if it is found to be true and the proof prevails, which I'm convinced, after talking to Candace and the stuff that we talked about, I'm convinced. And that mean that there should be dire consequences for the French government and whoever else was involved, the Macrons. Dire consequences. I'm talking about the American government should go after them like never before."
What did Candace Owens say in her recent X post?
In July 2025, the Macrons filed a defamation lawsuit against Candace Owens in Delaware, accusing her of perpetuating "outlandish, defamatory, and far-fetched fictions" that Brigitte Macron was born male. This came after Owens stated in March 2024 that she would stake her "entire professional reputation" on her belief that Brigitte "is in fact a man."
Additionally, Candace Owens has an ongoing series on her YouTube channel titled Becoming Brigitte, where she further discusses the conspiracy theory with her 5.62 million subscribers. The lawsuit also claimed that Owens "disregarded all credible evidence disproving her claim in favor of platforming known conspiracy theorists and proven defamers."
In September 2025, Brigitte Macron announced she planned to present scientific evidence, including pictures of herself pregnant and raising her children, to the court to prove her womanhood, as reported by the BBC.
On November 22, 2025, Candace Owens posted on her X account with serious allegations against the Macrons, claiming that a "high-ranking employee of the French Government" told her that they "have executed upon and paid for [her] assassination."
"Two days ago I was contacted by a high-ranking employee of the French Government. After determining this person’s position and proximity to the French couple, I have deemed the information they gave me to be credible enough to share publicly in the event that something happens," Owens wrote.
"In short, this person claims that the Macrons have executed upon and paid for my assassination. Yes, you read that correctly. More specifically, that the green light was given to a small team in National Gendamarie Intervention Group. I am told there is one Israeli that is on this assasination squad and the plans were formalized."
Additionally, Candace Owens claimed that the French government was involved in conservative activist Charlie Kirk's assassination, writing that Kirk's assassin "trained with the French Legion 13th Brigade with multi-state involvement." For those unfamiliar, Kirk was shot and killed at Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025, and Tyler Robinson was arrested as the alleged assassin.
Meanwhile, Candace Owens has filed a motion to dismiss the Macrons' defamation lawsuit, saying that the suit should not have been filed in Delaware because Owens has "no material contacts with the state of Delaware."
