Comedian and actress Nikki Glaser hosted the November 8 episode of Saturday Night Live. The TV host came under fire for some allegedly controversial jokes she made during her SNL monologue. People on social media expressed anger at Glaser's jokes referencing slavery, sex trafficking, and pedophilia.

Pop culture podcaster Perez Hilton blogged on Nikki Glaser's SNL monologue and the backlash that it received. In his November 9 blog, Hilton said that "nothing was off the table for Nikki" while she was delivering her monologue. Reacting to Glaser's jokes, Hilton, in his disbelief, wrote:
"That is… just… wow."
The blogger referred to her jokes as "disturbing" and quoted some of them in his blog. The TV host seemingly made a joke about "trafficking" and "slavery."
"I think I'm just paranoid. I'm just kind of, like, obsessed with slavery recently. Because every time you go to a women's restroom, a public women's restroom, and you sit in a stall, there's always a poster on the back of the stall that's asking you if you're being trafficked..."
Nikki Glaser continued,
"Men's restrooms do not have these signs. I don't know what signs you have. Maybe, like—do you have signs that are like, 'Want a slave? Text 'TRAFFIC' to 6969.'"
In his blog, Hilton also appended several comments from online users slamming Nikki Glaser for her seemingly problematic jokes.

Continuing on her trafficing joke, Nikki Glaser also made a reference to Ghislaine Maxwell. For the unversed, Maxwell has been serving a prison sentence for "her role in a scheme to s*xual exploit and abuse multiple minor girls" with Jeffrey Epstein, as per the DOJ.
In her joke, she said that "being trafficked" was "most likely" a fear of Gen Z girls, adding that she didn't "relate" with them.
"In my 20s, I just feared, like, good old-fashioned r*pe. You know? Like, I didn't think it would be a career. We didn't think it was anything more than a temp job on a frat-house futon," Glaser joked.
She continued,
"But it's real, though. I'm getting scared. Like, it's rubbing off on me... Like, I was out with them recently, and I was like, 'What if we get trafficked?' And they're like, 'You're good.'...They're like, 'We're safer when you're with us because they think you're our madam, so... You have, like, resting Ghislaine face, so just keep that up.'"
Another joke for which Nikki Glaser drew fire was when she talked about "child abuse" while sharing an incident related to her 4-year-old nephew. The comedian narrated an incident about when she was staying at her sister's house. Glaser said that while she was going to take a shower, her preschooler nephew said he also wanted to "take a shower" with her.
The comedian called it "cute' and added that her sister called it "fine" and explained that her son did it with them as well. Nikki Glaser said that she told her sister it might be fine for them, but questioned whether she was really comfortable with an adult showering with her child, suggesting it would only be appropriate if she came to supervise.
When her sister asked why, she replied, "Cause what if I molest him?" Adding to the joke, Glaser said:
"She was like, ‘Would you?’ and I was like, ‘No! I would never! That’s disgusting.’ But that’s what I would say if I was gonna. They lie. Don’t trust anyone! I don’t even trust myself. I don't want to go in there. How do you become a pedophile? You don't get to choose what you're into, dude. What if it's one of those things you don't know you like till you get in there and you're like, 'Well, this is my thing.'"
Elsewhere in the monologue, the comedian host made jokes about her spray tan and President Donald Trump. Nikki Glaser was joined by Sombr on the show, who appeared as the musical guest for the night.
