Podcaster Perez Hilton weighed in on the recent Daily Mail report alleging that actress Millie Bobby Brown had filed a harassment complaint against David Harbour. In a November 3 article on his website, Hilton addressed the controversy, noting that Harbour had faced “some serious allegations before filming the last season of Stranger Things.”

“According to a bombshell report from Dailymail.com on Saturday, Millie Bobby Brown accused her 50-year-old co-star of bullying and harassment! … Take the report with a grain of salt for now, of course. But if true, this is another major blow for David!” Perez Hilton added.

In his article, Hilton further cited details from the Daily Mail’s November 1 report, claiming that information about Brown’s alleged complaint came from a friend of Harbour’s ex-wife, singer Lily Allen.

“Whoa! A friend of Lily Allen, who broke up with David after he cheated, came forward with the shocking claims. The pal alleged the 21-year-old actress filed a complaint against him over his behavior toward her, sparking an internal inquiry by Netflix that lasted ‘for months,’” Hilton explained.

While Hilton quoted several portions of the Daily Mail report, he clarified that there were no specifics about the outcome of Netflix’s internal investigation.

He noted that the publication emphasized the accusations did not involve sexual misconduct. He also added that neither Brown nor Harbour had made any public statements regarding the reported complaint.

The 21-year-old actress was said to have filed a formal complaint with Netflix, accusing David Harbor of bullying and harassment during the production of the show’s final season.

According to the report, a source revealed that Millie Bobby Brown’s complaint against David Harbour was extensive and prompted a months-long internal investigation by Netflix. Emphasizing the gravity of the situation, the source told the outlet that the accusations were detailed and wide-ranging.

“Millie Bobby Brown filed a harassment and bullying claim before they started shooting the last season. There were pages and pages of accusations. The investigation went on for months,” the source said.

The report further noted that despite growing attention, Netflix declined to issue an official comment.

A Netflix insider told the Daily Mail that the streaming platform remained focused on protecting the Stranger Things brand and ensuring that the highly anticipated finale proceeded without disruption.

The insider added that Netflix believed that the final season was going to be a "theatrical event" and wanted nothing "overshadow this, not even the leading man’s private life.”

The insider added that it was “unfortunate” that David Harbour's issues had surfaced just as fans were preparing to celebrate the series’ conclusion.

“Netflix will never comment on an internal investigation, but the fact they’ve not denied it speaks volumes. Stranger Things helped put Netflix on the map. Millions of fans around the world have been anticipating the finale. No one wants anything to take attention away from that,” the insider added.

According to the report, since the alleged incidents, Millie Bobby Brown had a personal representative accompany her on set while filming the final season.

Meanwhile, Netflix remained steadfast in its plan to make Stranger Things 5 a record-breaking release, with the finale scheduled to roll out in two parts. The second part of the show would be dropping over Christmas, and the final episode would be receiving a limited theatrical release on December 31.

Adding another layer to the controversy, the Daily Mail reported that David Harbour's wife, singer Lily Allen, who had recently released an album reportedly addressing her husband’s alleged infidelities, had remained firmly by his side throughout what sources described as a “brutal time.”

“Lily supported him throughout it all. It was a brutal time,” a source close to the couple told the outlet.

Apart from the upcoming final season of the Stranger Things franchise, set to release on November 23, both David Harbour and Millie Bobby Brown are also busy with their individual projects.

David Harbour is currently working on a new HBO limited series titled DTF St. Louis and remains a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, while Brown is preparing for her upcoming supernatural series, Prism.
