Matt Walsh has shared his thoughts on Travis Kelce's comments about never arguing with Taylor Swift. He claimed that while fights shouldn't happen, a relationship without arguments isn't healthy.
Travis Kelce and his brother, Jason Kelce, hosted George Clooney in the new episode of their New Heights podcast, released on Wednesday, December 3. During the podcast, the brothers asked Clooney about his past statement that he's never fought with his wife.
The actor asked Travis, who is engaged to Taylor Swift, about it instead, and he replied:
“It’s only been two and a half years, and you’re right. I’ve never got in an argument. Never once.”
This statement went viral on social media on Wednesday, with people sharing their mixed reactions to it. Right-wing political commentator and author Matt Walsh also reacted to it on X (formerly Twitter). He highlighted the difference between a fight and an argument, writing:
"There’s a difference between a fight and an argument. In a fight you’re trying to emotionally hurt the other person. You fight to cause pain. Fights are never healthy in a marriage and should be extremely rare, if they happen at all. An argument is a disagreement where you’re trying to convince the other person of your point of view."
"In a marriage (I know these two aren’t married yet) if there aren’t any arguments it means that one of them (usually the man) simply never asserts their perspective and lets themselves get trampled. A marriage without arguments isn’t healthy," he added.
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have been together since the summer of 2023. They announced their engagement on August 26 this year.
When Travis Kelce opened up about understanding between him and Taylor Swift due to their careers

In an interview with GQ, published on August 12 this year, Travis Kelce spoke about the relatability between him and Taylor Swift. He spoke about how both their careers involve high intensity and require immense hard work.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end said:
“I hadn’t experienced somebody in the same shoes as me, having a partner who understands the scrutiny, understands the ups and downs of being in front of millions. That was very relatable, seeing how exhausted she would get after shows. She may not think of herself as an athlete. She will never tell anyone that she is an athlete. But I’ve seen what she goes through. I’ve seen the amount of work that she puts on her body, and it’s mind-blowing.”
Swift has also spoken about how they relate to each other due to the pressure they face in their careers. When The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon asked her if she turned down the opportunity to perform at the Super Bowl Halftime Show, she explained:
“That is violent chess, that is gladiators without swords. That is dangerous! The whole season, I am locked into what that man is doing on the field.”
Meanwhile, as per numerous reports, Swift and her bridesmaids have been preparing for her bachelorette party. Selena Gomez is reportedly leading the plans, as they have decided to have multiple parties.
