Piers Morgan has reacted to a video clip of Joe Biden mispronouncing the United States of America during a speech. The former US president appeared to call America 'Amerigotit'.
Joe Biden was the US president from 2021 to 2025. The 83-year-old is known to have had speech slips in recent years, mispronouncing the names of people and places. It has continued recently, as during a recent speech, Biden appeared to say:
"We are the United States of Amerigotit”
British journalist Piers Morgan reacted to a clip of this on X (formerly Twitter) with one word, writing:

Piers Morgan had taken a dig at Joe Biden earlier this year while criticizing Kamala Harris and Democrats during an interview on Fox News. Former vice-president Kamala Harris had said on The Tonight Show with Stephen Colbert in August this year that she does not plan to re-enter the system of US politics.
Morgan reacted to this in an appearance on Fox News on August 1, saying:
"Speaking frankly as your friend from across the pond, they're a complete and utter shambles, aren't they? The Democrats. The [Democrats] have got to get somebody like a Bill Clinton, they've got to get somebody in the centre who can return them to at least looking and sounding like they understand commonsense."
"I don't know who that person is, but they have got to do it fast because right now, looking at Kamala, looking at Biden... I mean, oh my God, the idea of if that guy had won and had become president for the next four years of the United States... He can barely move!" he added.
When a guest on the show added:
"If I saw [Biden] like in a public space, I'd think I was in a haunted house."
Morgan replied:
"It's true, it's embarrassing."
There has been speculation about Biden's health and age over the years, especially after he was elected as the US President in 2021.
When Piers Morgan defended Joe Biden after his prostate cancer diagnosis announcement
A statement from Joe Biden's office in May this year announced that he is dealing with prostate cancer. He is undergoing treatment for it, including radiation therapy. While many came out in his support, this announcement also included some vile mocking of Biden.
However, Piers Morgan sternly defended the former US President, writing in an X post on May 18:
"I’m going to block anyone I see - and there’s already a lot of this vile crap flying around - mocking, celebrating, or playing partisan politics with Joe Biden’s health news. The man has served his country for 50yrs and is fighting for his life. Show some bloody respect."
The current US President, Donald Trump, also extended his support for Biden, putting out a post on Truth Social. Piers Morgan shared that post on X, writing "Classy" in the caption.
As per The Guardian, Biden completed his radiation therapy at Pennsylvania’s Radiation Oncology clinic in October this year.
