Schumer and Fischer got married in 2018 and welcomed their son, Gene David, in May 2019. However, there has been speculation about their relationship in recent months. The stand-up comedian recently uploaded a picture without a ring as well.

Amid this, a 2021 video of Amy Schumer's 40th birthday has resurfaced on social media. Fischer, who is a chef, jokingly brought his wife a cake that had the following written on it:

β€œI’m leaving you. This was the only way I could think to do it.”

Reacting to it, blogger Perez Hilton wrote on his website:

"The comedian went from smiling to looking at it very seriously. Considering the stand-up star posted it at the time, it seems like it was probably a joke that she was in on. Or, at least, she thought it was funny enough to share. But now it’s SO dark considering they maybe are headed for a split!"

Hilton also reacted to rumors of their potential split, labeling it "So sad…".

Meanwhile, a report from Page Six, published on December 2, states that there is "zero chance" of Amy Schumer and Chris Fischer continuing their marriage. A source reportedly told the outlet:

β€œThey’ve been having issues for ages and my understanding is all they are doing now is working out a conscious uncoupling plan. There is zero chance of salvaging the marriage … but Amy also wants to have the most amicable co-parenting relationship possible with Chris, so they are sorting out what will work best."

Schumer is also reportedly set to move to Manhattan after Gene got admission in a school in the city.
