Influencer and podcaster Link Lauren reacted to Meghan Markle's recent Thanksgiving turkey preparation video. According to a November 30 report by Page Six, the Duchess of Sussex shared a clip on her Instagram Stories on Thursday. In the video, Meghan Markle was seen rubbing seasonings on a raw turkey for the Thanksgiving meal.
In the Monday episode of Spot On With Link Lauren, the host discussed the aforementioned clip. Lauren noted that the Duchess’s Instagram Story went viral, and people reportedly called her out for keeping her jewelry on while preparing food. The podcaster stated that Meghan Markle apparently was not aware of "proper hygienic protocols." Lauren went on to say that even her hands weren't "clean."
The Page Six report noted that people online referred to the Duchess of Sussex as "Salmonella Sussex." Link Lauren, a known critic of the Suits alum, said he was upset because he was not the one who came up with the name. However, the podcaster remarked that he was not shocked by the Duchess's alleged unhygienic food preparation.

"People online, chefs, and everybody on the internet who loves to cook and knows about food and nutrition, they're all saying you can't keep your jewelry on. What is she doing? This does not look sanitary. But this is not a shock to me, right? Miss Salmonella Sussex. I'm only angry that that's not a nickname I thought of, okay?" Link Lauren said.
Lauren stated that he had previously pointed out the presence of a bug in a picture that the Duchess had posted earlier. The influencer commented that in Meghan's lifestyle docuseries, her house "didn't look clean." He referred to the Duchess as a "California boho girl."
"I'm not shocked. I've told you guys before, I think Meghan Markle, for her, hygiene is a far second priority. Okay? I think hygiene is way down the list of her priorities because she just seems like the type of person who maybe doesn't shower every day. She's kind of this California boho girl," Link Lauren commented.
Link Lauren continues his rant targeting Meghan Markle
Further in the episode, Link Lauren said that, in his opinion, Meghan Markle "is not the cleanest person." The news influencer said that if he were invited to the Duchess's house, he would consider it a "trap."
"I'd have to have one of those food testers like the President and foreign leaders have. I'd have to have someone test my food if I went to Meghan Markle's house. Number one, I don't want Salmonella. Number two, you know that is going to poison me," Lauren lobbed a jab.
He remarked that the Duchess allegedly portrayed herself as the next Martha Stewart or Gwyneth Paltrow. Lauren continued his criticism, saying he hoped that the As Ever founder would never open a restaurant. Link Lauren compared eating at the Duchess's house to an episode of Fear Factor.
"Eating at Meghan Markle's house is like Russian roulette, okay? You don't know if you're going to get a stomach bug. You don't know if you're going to survive, if you're going to live to tell the tale," he added.
In separate news, the Duchess of Sussex is returning to Netflix with her holiday special, With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration. The lifestyle special will be available to stream from December 3.
