Far-right political commentator Milo Yiannopoulos recently sat for an interview with Tucker Carlson. The former editor at Breitbart News discussed his views on transgenderism in the Wednesday episode of Carlson's podcast. Milo Yiannopoulos announced himself as an "ex-gay" in 2021.

The conservative activist stated that he regretted "mainstreaming homosexuality" in the Republican Party a decade ago.

"It's the great regret of my life because it has given rise to horrors I never imagined. I mean, Lenin said, do you know all revolutionaries come to hate their children, you know. Well, the gay horrors that I've given birth to, Lady MAGA, Nick Fuentes, I mean, they keep me up at night," Yiannopoulos added.

The far-right commentator said that after he adopted a cat, he gained a deeper understanding of fatherhood. Milo Yiannopoulos compared this feeling to his past ones, when he was gay. He claimed that homosexual people know that something is "not quite right." Tucker Carlson asked whether the origin of becoming homosexual begins with the sense that "something was not quite right."

Responding to Carlson, Milo Yiannopoulos said:

"Have you ever been addicted to anything?... So you know, there's that moment when your mind is flooded, and it's all you can think about. And it's all that you can you got to get it... If you don't get it out, it's just going to be all you can think about for the rest of the day. It's just driving you crazy cuz it floods your mind... I realized my sex works the same way."

Milo Yiannopoulos earlier claimed that he had undergone conversion therapy and advocated the debatable methodology in the interview. The far-right activist said the media allegedly demonized the therapy and even spread "fake news" about it. He challenged the narrative that gay people "are born this way" and suggested that homosexuality stemmed from some kind of trauma.

"They start off with this, 'You know, you were born this way, honey; you are born this way, honey, you are beautiful, whatever you are.' No, you're like that because you got r*ped by a priest. Or you're like that because your mom was overbearing and your dad wasn't around. or you're like that because you failed to form platonic stable attachments to other men as a child for some reason," Milo Yiannopoulos stated.

The political commentator added that, in his view, gay people often deny certain aspects of their histories. He stated that those individuals actually knew the truth. He claimed that in off-camera conversation, he could "squeeze it out of them," eventually. Later in the interview, he described how conversion therapy works. Milo Yiannopoulos explained:

"So you think about or you look at something that will take you to the place that would have pre-produced arousal previously, and then you introduce something unexpected into the brain. And the idea is that you rewire the brain in its plasticity to expect a different outcome. When it has that stimulus in the future, right?"

He continued:

"And the third step is just to repeat it because there's only two ways you can persuade the brain of things, which is emotional connection and repetition."

Conversion therapy is often challenged by the scientific community. As per the BBC, about 20 states in the US have banned it.
