Conservative podcaster Candace Owens has cast doubts on Turning Point USA following the assassination of its founder, Charlie Kirk. In her recent X post, the political commentator claimed that she believed that Kirk was "betrayed" by TPUSA leadership. She added that she would soon reveal the names and provide evidence.
TPUSA addressed Owens' allegations in the December 3 episode of The Charlie Kirk Show. The show's producer, Blake Neff, appeared in the episode and slammed the podcaster for her accusations. Neff referred to Candace Owens' assertions as "false accusations." He added that TPUSA would soon conduct a livestream to address her questions.
"In the near future, there will be a live stream here in Phoenix where we address in a clear and comprehensive way the claims and accusations, the false accusations that have been made against Charlie's family, friends, and the people here at Turning Point... If Candace is available, we would sincerely welcome her participation," Neff said.
Candace Owens reacted to TPUSA's announcement in the Wednesday episode of Candace. She stated that after she went "kind of for the juggler" with TPUSA, the organization agreed to answer her questions. The podcaster called it a "major win."
"I think everybody in the entire world has had enough with the nonresponse, trying to move on, trying to gaslight us on answering basic details... After a very long diatribe in which they wildly misrepresent the public and global investigation of Charlie Kirch's assassination, they at long last issued a public invitation or a challenge. I'm not sure what it is, but I accept... So major, major win. I'm excited," she stated.
Owens said that she anticipated such an announcement from Andrew Kolvet rather than Blake Neff. She further noted that among TPUSA members, she had never felt that Neff was a bad person.
Candace Owens counters Blake Neff’s arguments questioning her accusations
Ever since Charlie Kirk's murder, Candace Owens has blasted several members of TPUSA in her posts and videos. In the aforementioned episode of The Charlie Kirk Show, Blake Neff addressed some of Owens' claims. Hours later, the conservative podcaster responded to Neff's remarks.
Owens recently claimed that two Egyptian military aircraft had been following Erika Kirk for years. In the episode, Kirk's show's producer said:
"She has claimed that foreign aircraft have followed Erica Kirk around the country and that Turning Point has lied about this happening."
Responding to this, Candace Owens stated:
"Definitely never said Turning Point lied because you never responded."
Blake Neff also pointed out that Owens called the September 10 event at UVU "unusual" and suggested that it was an "inside job." The former Daily Wire host reiterated this accusation and said:
"It was unusual. That's a fact. And you can quote me on that because I worked for Turning Point USA, and I went on every tour, every tour since 2019. And typically, those events are decided at least a semester before.
Blake Neff also accused Candace Owens of claiming that TPUSA lied about Charlie Kirk wanting his wife to take over if he died. However, Owens dismissed Neff's allegation.
"Never happened... That is just them saying that," she stated.
Elsewhere in her podcast, Owens explained the reasoning behind her controversial claims.
TPUSA did not reveal the exact details of the livestream. While announcing it, Blake Neff added that TPUSA planned the livestream not because of pressure from Candace Owens but to protect Charlie Kirk’s legacy.
