Kris Jenner recently shared her thoughts on Dr. Amen's Rule of 12, helping her calm down when little things start to annoy her. She claimed that she is a 'control freak', adding that she is working on becoming more patient.
Jenner appeared on Jay Shetty's podcast in an episode released on Monday, November 17. She spoke about numerous things, including patience and control. She revealed that she is trying to be more patient and not fret over things she cannot change. She added that feeling upset about things won't change them.
Jenner also revealed that she speaks to Dr. Amen, a psychiatrist, from time to time about these things. She said:
"I talk to him [Dr. Amen] from time to time and he said, ‘What’s on your mind today?’ I keep thinking I’m a complainer & my daughter Khloe has really brought this to my mind. She said, ‘Mom, you’ve got to stop complaining about nothing. Like you’ve the most beautiful life.’ … I’m a control freak. My idea of a great Saturday afternoon is re-arranging my drawers, it gives me peace. It helps my brain."
Kris Jenner also spoke about Dr. Amen's 'Rule of 12', a theory in which he urges people to react only after things go wrong 12 times. She said:
"So, Dr. Amen said, ‘I’m gonna give you the rule of 12’. He goes, ‘You have to wait until something goes wrong for the 12th time and then you can let lose’. And I said, ‘Oh I love that’."
Detailing how she applied the 'Rule of 12' in her life and how it helped her calm herself down, Kris Jenner added:
"So, of course somebody forgot a bag, somebody forgot a passport. And one by one [I’m counting], ‘Okay, No. 1 and I just smile, try to breathe. No. 2, I’m just gonna distract myself on Instagram or something’. I kept trying to distract myself from being cranky. Got to No. 12 and I thought, ‘Next one, sh*t’s gonna hit the fan. And of course, No. 13 came and I just went, ‘Okay’. And it really helped to put me in my place. Like nothing’s this serious."
Jenner added that she is working towards her inner peace, saying that she realized she doesn't have much to complain about.
Kris Jenner on the criticism she faced after giving birth at 40

Kris Jenner gave birth to Kendall Jenner when she was 40 and Kylie when she was 41. In an appearance on Khloe Kardashian's podcast, released in March this year, Jenner spoke about the criticism she faced, saying:
“It was almost whispered about. Like, taboo. Like, ‘She’s 40? And she’s going to have a baby? Is she nuts?’ And then it was, obviously, safe to have babies at that age, but everybody thought there was also some danger to it. Like, ‘What’s going on? How could she have a baby in her 40s? Aren’t all her eggs gone?’ It was very controversial.”
Jenner has four other kids as well: Khloe Kardashian, Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, and Rob Kardashian.
