Perez Hilton has reacted to Ariana Grande's recent post about body shaming. She shared an old interview on her Instagram story in which she spoke about how tough it is to handle constant scrutiny.
Grande's latest movie, Wicked: For Good, was released on November 21. During the press tour, she and her co-star, Cynthia Erivo, faced significant scrutiny over their appearances. Many people online posted body-shaming comments about the duo, especially Grande.
The singer shared an old interview of hers on her Instagram story on Saturday, November 29, along with a caption.
"Resharing this from last year as a loving reminder to all."
It was an interview with Grande, also featuring Erivo, where they discussed body shaming and criticism. Blogger Perez Hilton reacted to this on his website, writing:
"Ariana Grande is sick of the comments about her body."
Hilton shared Grande's comments and wrote:
"It’s a shame Ari keeps having to address this matter... No matter if people have the best intentions in mind, it is clear Ariana wants the comments about her body — and everyone else’s in the Wicked crew — to end. Hopefully, everyone will finally take the hint."
The interview Grande shared was part of the press tour for the first installment of Wicked, which was released on November 22, 2024.
What did Ariana Grande say about body shaming in her 2024 interview?

Grande shared her 2024 interview on Saturday in response to body-shaming comments about her and Cynthia Erivo. In it, she spoke about how people online have become comfortable making personal remarks about others.
“I’ve been kind of doing this in front of the public and a specimen in a petri dish, really, since I was 16 or 17. I have heard it all. I’ve heard every version of it, of what’s wrong with me. And then you fix it, and then it’s wrong for different reasons," she said.
"There’s a comfortability that people have commenting on that that I think is really dangerous. I think that I’m really lucky to have the support system that I have to just know and trust that I’m beautiful. But I do know what the pressure of that noise feels like. It’s been a resident in my life since I was 17, and I just don’t invite it in anymore. It’s not welcome."
Ariana Grande further explained that everyone, whether a celebrity or just someone with little fame, goes through this. She encouraged people to protect themselves and their families from it by either blocking others or cutting back on social media use. Grande also addressed comments about her body in 2023, saying in a TikTok video:
"There are many different ways to look healthy and beautiful. And personally, for me, the body that you’ve been comparing my current body to was the unhealthiest version of my body."
She even shared images of herself from the past where people considered her "healthy." She revealed that she was going through some of the "lowest points of her life" during that time.
