Tensions between broadcaster Piers Morgan and Republican congressional candidate Valentina Gomez have escalated, moving from a contentious on-air exchange to a direct public confrontation on social media.

On December 3, 2025, Gomez appeared on Morgan’s show, Piers Morgan Uncensored, to defend a recently released campaign video in which she vowed to “kick every dirty Muslim out of Texas” if elected. Gomez refused to retract the remarks, and Morgan responded on-air by branding her a “vile bigot.”

The dispute moved over to social media. Morgan directly reposted a message originally published by Gomez on December 4, 2025, in which she asserted that she had “done more for the little girls in the UK” than Morgan throughout his career. She claimed to possess everything she argued the broadcaster “lacks,” invoking what she described as her commitment to “God, Guns, & Guts.”

Upon reposting Gomez’s message on December 5, 2025, Morgan, in his accompanying statement, mentioned:

“You’re a disgusting bigot, and ironically, a migrant to the US who should be deported yourself for fuelling racial hatred. It’s shameful that the Republican Party is letting you represent it in the 31st Congressional District in Tx. I hope @realDonaldTrump stops you.”

With both figures now fully engaged in a visible conflict, the episode has become a prominent flashpoint in an already polarised political environment.

Piers Morgan confronts Valentina Gomez on live television

The televised dispute between Piers Morgan and Valentina Gomez traces back to Gomez’s appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored on December 3, 2025. The Texas congressional candidate was invited to address the backlash to her campaign video vowing to “kick every dirty Muslim” out of Texas if elected.

According to Mediaite’s coverage of the broadcast, Gomez arrived on the program wearing a MAGA hat and immediately escalated the discussion, declaring on air:

“Let’s get something very clear right now on your little show, Piers: I don’t fear the groomers, the pedophiles, the corrupt politicians, and I definitely do not fear the dirty Muslims.”

Morgan expressed visible frustration throughout the exchange, telling her he had invited her onto the show only after her video went viral because he “couldn’t believe” someone would publicly embrace rhetoric he described as “vile and bigoted.”

The discussion quickly devolved into a series of overlapping accusations. Gomez insisted Morgan was “politically correct” and “a puppet for the establishment,” at one point mocking him for avoiding slurs in previous interviews.

Panelists also clashed with the candidate after she labeled one participant a “terrorist.” In response, Palestinian-American analyst Omar Baddar sharply rebutted her comments, adding further tension to the panel.

The exchange reached its peak when Gomez claimed Morgan’s producers had “begged” her to appear. Piers Morgan dismissed her assertion, clarifying that they had sent “one email” and that she had accepted it immediately. He concluded the segment by stating he had no intention of hosting her again unless voters embraced her expression:

“If the people of Texas like your vile, bigoted rhetoric, you can come back on. Otherwise, we’re never going to see you again.”

He added:

“The people of the 31st district of Texas are not going to vote for you because you are a vile bigot, and that is a fact.”
