The new Mayor of NYC expressed his gratitude for the immigrant workers in his speech. Mamdani also called out President Trump in his victory speech and said, "New York will remain a city of immigrants."

In the November 5 episode of her podcast, Megyn Kelly slammed the Democratic leader following his speech.

"This guy last night, the anger that he spewed, I mean, he dropped the mask immediately. Mamdani did immediately. He got up there and was all but rubbing his hands together, looking at his new power and what he's going to do to the city of New York. God bless them. I wish them all the luck," Megyn Kelly said.

Zohran Mamdani shaped his election campaign around affordability and immigrant workers. In his Tuesday speech, Mamdani said that working people of New York have long been told by the "wealthy and well-connected" that "power does not belong in their hands."

He spoke about warehouse workers with fingers bruised from lifting boxes and delivery workers with palms calloused from bike handlebars. The new NYC mayor said these hands had long been kept from "power." Reflecting on his victory, he added, "Tonight, against all odds, we have grasped it."

In the Wednesday episode of The Megyn Kelly Show, the host rebuked Zohran Mamdani for his speech and added that the working class didn't vote for him.

"Meanwhile, he's up there talking about how this is for the guys who got the scars on their knuckles and the calluses on their hands. They voted against you, cretin. They all voted against you. The working class can't stand you. They're not buying your bulls**t... They know you're a liar. And as I've been saying, a wolf in sheep's clothing," she added.

The podcaster slammed Mamdani and called out his roots. Kelly said Mamdani was born in "some rich Ugandan family" and added that he is not "even a born American." She called him a "phony" person for empathizing with the working class despite his "rich" background.

"You're from some rich Ugandan family. You're not even a born American. You only came over here. You have dual citizenship. The working class knows you're a phony," Kelly said.

Megyn Kelly also discussed the $65 million budget for trans people that Zohran Mamdani had mentioned in his election manifesto.

"He said, $65 million to trans anyone who wants it from in-state or out of state, minor or adult, on the taxpayer's dime. He basically wants New York to be a sanctuary for trans children," the podcaster said.

Megyn Kelly also invited the host of Sid and Friends in the Morning, Sid Rosenberg, to her show to discuss Mamdani's victory. Kelly speculated that it was "young people" under 29 who voted for him.
