Erika Kirk recently admitted that she prayed she was pregnant when her husband, conservative activist Charlie Kirk, was shot and killed while attending an event at Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025. She recently spoke in an interview with Megyn Kelly during one of Kelly's stops on her ongoing tour in Glendale, Arizona, on November 21, 2025.

During the interview, Kelly mentioned Erika and Charlie Kirk's children and asked Erika how many kids they had wanted. Erika responded that they had hoped for four children, adding that she was "praying to God" that she was pregnant when her husband was murdered. For those unfamiliar, the Kirks have two children: a three-year-old daughter and a one-year-old son.

"We wanted to have four. And I was praying to God that I was pregnant when he got murdered,” Erika Kirk replied.

Erika Kirk further said that she advised young couples, especially young women, not to "put off" pregnancy, saying they could always return to their careers, but they could never go back to having children. She also said she and Charlie Kirk were "just excited" to expand their family.

“I know. I was like, oh, goodness, that was going to be the ultimate blessing out of this catastrophe. So, now when I see young couples, I tell them, ‘Please, don’t put it off,’" Kirk said.

"Especially if you’re a young woman. Don’t put it off, you can always have a career, you can always, you know, go back to work. You can never just go back to having children. And they grow so fast and so quickly, but I just, I was praying. Both of us were. We were just excited to just expand our family.”

Megyn Kelly added that when Kirk's children grow up, "they’ll find out that they’re Charlie Kirk’s children and they’ll know what that means."

Erika Kirk previously revealed that her daughter still asks about her father

During an interview with Fox News' Jesse Watters on November 5, 2025, Erika Kirk shared that her and Charlie Kirk's three-year-old daughter asks about her father. When Watters asked Erika if her children ask her, 'Where is daddy?' the widow replied that her daughter does, saying:

"Yes, my daughter continues to ask. But it is really sweet because I keep explaining to her a few things. And I said, if you ever want to talk to Daddy, you just look up to sky and start talking to him. He can hear you."

A visibly emotional Erika Kirk continued:

"And I told her, I said, you know Daddy is in heaven. She goes, 'You think I could go sometime?' I said, 'Baby, we will all go one day. We will all go one day.'"

During the same interview, Erika Kirk addressed various conspiracy theories circulating online about Charlie Kirk's death, stating that she had "insulated" herself to stay focused on her children and her role as the new CEO of Turning Point USA. She also encouraged people to be careful about what they post on social media, as her kids could be affected by what they read about their father online in the future.

During her interview with Megyn Kelly, Erika Kirk revealed that she felt no anger or sympathy towards Tyler Robinson, the 22-year-old man arrested as Charlie Kirk's alleged shooter.

According to The Sun, she added that anything she "could ever wish upon him or that family [Robinson's family] would pale in comparison to the justice of God." For those unfamiliar, the widow stated she forgave Robinson during her husband's memorial in Glendale, Arizona, on September 21.
